So glad you're back. Out of all the full-time RV vlogs out there, I enjoy yours the most for many different reasons. I wish I could start one with my family, but my wife is way too camera shy. We're full-timers ourselves, but we don't move around very much.
@Totally-trailer7 жыл бұрын
Hi Erich, thanks so much for watching and for the very kind comment. We love what we do and maybe your wife will come around and feel more comfortable?
@ErichEickmeyer7 жыл бұрын
Maybe some day. Since I posted that comment, we've been down to the Grand Canyon and back. That would've been a great trip to vlog, including the problems we experienced a blow-out and bent tongue jack. I doubt we'll do that long of a trip again until after I can get a diesel tow rig since I spent way too much money on gas. Maybe some stuff around the Pacific Northwest (where we're located) until then.

Grand Canyon is awesome and there are ALWASY stories that go with an adventure! If you ever make it back down to the Southwest let us know :)

Erich Eickmeyer so diesel gets the best gas mileage when towing?
@ErichEickmeyer7 жыл бұрын
Patricia O Diesel gets better fuel mileage than gasoline due to the amount of torque output by the engine, which is especially important when starting from a dead stop. Whereas a gasoline engine might take quite a bit of throttle (foot on the gas) to get moving and accelerate, a diesel takes a bit less fuel to do so in terms of gallons per hour. This is only one reason why Diesel is more economical, but it’s a big one.

Great video. Love the cliff dwellings. They are pronounced like he la. the G is pronounced like an H. I'm surprised no one corrected you about it on your travels. I am a teacher; I apologize for correcting you. I just can't stop myself... Love the full time concept. When I get tired of teaching I'm going to do the same thing. Thanks again for sharing the videos.

When you drive a big rig, you make reservations. Few Nationals forest or National Parks can accommodate a rig over 40 ft. I wonder how many people think that cliff dwelling meant living in small cramped areas. It is awesome to see how large they are.
@Totally-trailer7 жыл бұрын
Roy Davis yes you're right. The entire National Forest was first come first serve. We were very lucky to get a spot there (especially this time of year)!

Hey friends...glad to see you back. Really enjoy your vlogs. Just a friendly FYI... Correct pronunciation of Gila is "Heeluh".... Spanish word. Enjoy your time there...lived in the area for over 20 years and miss it.

What a beautiful camp site! Glenn, so with solar, y'all are good, right? Just bring in some water occasionally, eh? Speaking of water, how did Indians get water? Wow, I love that place! Got to see it.
@Totally-trailer7 жыл бұрын
Yes with solar and a near by water we are good to go. Our tanks will fill up long before we run out of power. We've found that we are more limited by the size of our black tank than anything else. The indians got water from several near by rivers and streams.

@Totally-trailer7 жыл бұрын
Bobby Baldeagle thanks for the note! The camp fee was $8 per night for on hookup spaces

Wow so pretty up there. It's been about 15 yrs since we were there at Lake Roberts in our small 25 ft trailer. Based on your observation, do you think there's room for my 38 ft 5th wheel? Its been so long that I can't remember if there is.
@Totally-trailer7 жыл бұрын
Joe Ruiz some of the spaces in Mesa Campground were quite large but all of the other campgrounds were geared towards much smaller rigs. It was very beautiful there

I don’t have a problem leaving somethings out, but if I put that time and money into those solar panels, I would not leave them out. Do you? Great videos by the way.
@sarahhinkle82347 жыл бұрын
What temperature does your truck usually run at while pulling your trailer? Does it run hotter than when you aren't towing?
@timmeissner22627 жыл бұрын
Do you leave your solar panels deployed when you go "exploring" or do you always bring them in for fear of theft?
@Totally-trailer7 жыл бұрын
That's a good question and it completely depends on the situation and where we are. It depends on safety and even weather conditions, we usually just play it by ear!
@Therightsidememes7 жыл бұрын
was the campsite free? for hookups?
@Totally-trailer7 жыл бұрын
janice vigil Non hookup sites were $8 (which is what we paid for our spot)
