Is the cut template the same size as the bottom of the arm rest ?
@TotalTechnik8 жыл бұрын
Hi there. I assume you are retro-fitting an armrest? No, it is smaller than the base. The base has a 'lip' and you have to angle the lip into the hole and then turn straight. If you do some Googling you should be able to find a template. It's not just the size of the hole that needs to be right, but and the position, to ensure it lines up with the bolt in the bracket below. Hey :) I have avant. Hopefully i dont need to remove the center high light, because sometimes it just sends me warning light, that center light not working. But when it not sends me, then the ligh is working correctly. So just some wire problem. But i dont know the wireing system and how to reach to there.

Hey there. As before, that's a bit too off-topic to discuss here on this video thread :-) Yes, often with these they start to fail with age, even if they appear visually to be working ok. I've had a similar case where the light seemed to be working ok, but throwing up errors. Replaced the light (even though it worked), and problem solved. Try removing it, cleaning up the electrical connections first and see if that solves it. But remember that it is easily damaged when removing from the Avant as it gets brittle with age so most likely will break :-( If you get stuck, check out the various Audi forums (go a Google search) as loads of help available there - and I may spot the post and jump on board there also :-) But not really relevant to discuss this here on a rear ashtray video :-) Please be sure to subscribe. Lots more video's coming soon!

Hey, Could u show how to remove center rear brake light :) thanks
@TotalTechnik8 жыл бұрын
Hi there. That's a bit off topic here, but yes we will be producing a video on how to remove the centre rear brake light (aka high line brake light). You didn't say if you had a saloon or avant, and the process is completely different for each. Note if an Avant that they usually cannot be removed without damaging them as the plastic becomes brittle with age and breaks away as you try to remove it. So you usually end up needing to budget for a new one if removing for the avant. But subscribe to us, and you'll get notifications every time we add a new video, and you'll then see all the video's the we add that would be of interest to you, including the high line brake light removal. We have LOADS more video's coming for the A4/S4/RS4 (B6/B7) so please support us and subscribe and spread the word!
