Once again you come to the rescue John. I’ve used the information on this video to rebuild a sticking rear caliper on my XJ. Thank you so much for all the time and effort you put in to help others.

Another excellent video John. Thank you. Now, this is not a criticism, and I am sure that everybody who is going to work on the brakes of their XK8 will already know this, but it might be worth while for the 1 in a 1000 person, who does not know that only brake fluid shall be used to lubricate the rubbers. Engine oil and other types of hydrocarbon greases are a really bad idea.

Thank you Alan. You are absolutely right. I really should have said that at the start of the video. I incorrectly took that bit for granted. But if you don't know, then you don't know!. I will Put a line in the first couple of sentences of the description straight away. Thanks again Alan👍👍👍👍

The only safe lubricant for any given elastomeric seal, gaiter or O-ring is either the fluid they are intended to seal against or Krytox RFE.

John, I replaced stock pads and rotors with the same EBC kit you got. They look great but I haven’t noticed a huge difference besides less brake dust. They do look good though. Let me know how it goes for you. Eventually I want to get my brake calipers painted to get a factory-quality finish.
