It's worth remembering that not only is roll a falling edge input, but there is a frame or 2 before your s start in the animation, so you can get hit after the roll starts. You'll know if this happens if you lose stamina while still getting hit. ... At least this is how it works in later Souls games.

I think the calamity effect should have been counterable by actually equipping the calamity ring. Take double damage or give up a second ring slot, players choice.

This is such an interesting mod. It forces adaptation and improvisation, using every single tool the game has to offer. This has to be one of my favorite challenge runs so far, all restrictions to the run are dependant on the player's actions and strategies.

38:54 It occasionally "infests" nearby enemies. Infested enemies are weak to one damage type and extremely resistant to all others. Which one they are weak to is decided randomly at the moment of infestation. At least it is how I see it, considering description and your video footage

Oh nah! Bro didn't learn his lesson the first time and kept killing side bosses instead of taking out Nito! I remember watching LobosJr play this mod years ago. I wouldn't mind taking a crack at it myself. It shouldn't be THAT difficult once you know what to expect and level up enough BEFORE taking on most bosses. Okay, I take back what I just wrote. Those last couple stipulations are COOKED. I won't be surviving that stuff. Firebomb-cheesing Bed of Cancer was great.
