It's nice to see the work with Floki. It's so surprising to see his reaction to the attention, and it actually does look like the left leg is being used more. Amazing! Be safe everyone!

Do you still need small milk bottles? If so I was thinking of doing something I've never done before so I don't know how successful I will be at it though. I've seen that some Swedish vet clinics sells them online so I was thinking of writing them an email, telling them what kind of work you do, explain the situation in South Africa during the pandemic and probably a bit about us who support you. Maybe I can get one or more to donate a few bottles. Do you need anything else when I'm at it, let me know. Maybe this is something others could do in their respective countries. What do you think? 🤓🏴☠️🇸🇪

Thank you - yes the small milk bottles are very worrying at the moment especially the nipples - we use to get them in Pkts of 100 on amazon but cant find them anymore
@territroublled75853 жыл бұрын
@@VervetMonkey so those are the 200 ml bottles, right? I will also try and sort some out, including the nipples that come with the bottles. Are the bottles and nipples the biggest concern, or are there other things you need?

Love seeing Floki having so much attention. I also admire the man helping our buddy out. It must be wonderful to have someone who can help the animals this way and he's so good on camera. A great addition to the team. Looked like Leila in the background yay, they get to play in Disneyland.

I think Red thinks if he takes the food dish up into the branches he can eat his food up there with a nicer view, haha. The plate is where food comes from.

Thank you for another wonderful video! Floki has improved so much from that therapy, and he is quite the lil actor trying to milk some more therapy lol by partially collapsing in front of his therapist! He’s such a goofball, but that’s what makes him so awesome is his unique personality! It’s so amazing to see Z and Nino bonding so well, also Nino and Satchmo have a blast playing together and Mango & Satchmo still have their strong bond. They are one happy family! Thank you for all you guys do to give these amazing animals a 2nd chance at life!

Great video. I think Nino is mixing his submission and dominance signals. Lol In other videos, you’ve explained the babies taking the other’s food is natural and they are unknowingly working out their ranking in the troop. Nino presents his bum to show submission, but he’s trying to take their food at the same time. He’s tried it with both Satchmo and a bandit.

Fabulous episode! Loved seeing Floki being so relaxed with the osteopath and what a difference he made to Flokis range of movement and low back. I use a chiropractor and know how much better Floki will feel for that intervention. So much variety in this episode! Great to see the release up at the mountain lodge. What a beautiful place. Nino settling well. So interesting to see the differences in their play behaviour from the vervets. Finally the close up faces inspecting the camera always make me laugh! I so enjoyed this one, thankyou. One question..are all the veggies raw? They sound very crunchy so I guess they are. They must have good digestion to cope with raw sweet potato and corn!

You could also get a tub of water and make him swim that would help that out a lot as well. We had a dog that got ran over and broke his pelvis we got him healed up and my dad put him in a tub of water to help him swim to move those legs and he come out like a champion.

It was great to see Floki trust a human enough for him to get therapy. So happy for him. Loved seeing all the little monkeys getting along with everyone. I love these Thursday updates. Thank you all for caring for all these prescious monkeys and making these videos for us to enjoy. I do have one comment about the part of the video with Red playing with the dish. The girl that was narrating said "That sums up Red. He's a bit of a Stupid boy". I don't know if she caught herself when she said this, because she then quickly said "Silly boy". He isn't stupid. He is curious and likes to play, as do all monkeys. The dish was a toy to him. He was just playing with it, a source of entertainment. I am sorry, but that was a terrible thing to say. I know you are all there because you genuinely care and want to help these monkeys. But that statement bothered me.
@VervetMonkey3 жыл бұрын
You are quiet correct and the word she was looking for was silly boy, Red is a bit of a jester, sometimes its not always easy to find the word you would like to use at the spur of the moment, different cultures find similarities between words depending on how they have been used in there society, please dont take every utterance to seriously, the people here love the monkeys to bits.
@ms.newyawkeri75593 жыл бұрын
@@VervetMonkey I know they love these monkeys or they wouldn't be there. It was just odd what she said. I didn't take into consideration the different cultures and words used. It just sounded odd to me for someone to say stupid monkey. I also love these monkeys. And do appreciate everything everyone does there to keep them safe, healthy and happy.
@serratedanderson71483 жыл бұрын
I agree I think it's a cultural difference. I've spent time in a few different cultures than my own, and have definitely found some descriptive words are used interchangeably, and it's done with words I'd find offensive. Like one you're so mean! At first until I'm used to the culture lol. We do the same thing actually with some pretty rude words. Although positive progress has been made in the last few decades :)
