I don't lack of work is the right word. How they got where they were at a point must have not been just talent. Lingard is a hard worker, as opposed to everyone on that list, his work rate in the pitch is really good. He just isn't world class which is what United think they need. His issue was more to do with confidence and personal problems. Then you have Ali, a literal match stick ignited by the smallest of issues. I think the reason he doesn't play and therefore doesn't improve as much as he can is due to his anger issues. Walcott and Wilshere must be because of confidence too. I think people underlook the impact of the mental in sports.

I’m a Spurs fan, still watched the video. And once again my blood pressure has reached dangerous levels. ENIC has always been bad but the past year has been peak disaster. Not properly backing Poch was their first big mistake. During his entire tenure, they never bought him the players he wanted. The whole “I ask for a washing machine, he buys a dryer” thing. And then Poch performs a miracle and manages to get us into a UCL Final. I know results were against him back in 2019 but I would have let him stay and rebuild the team. How were expected to win playing with Sissoko and Ben Davies in the team? I never really liked appointing Mourinho and kinda expected things to go poorly (ffs losing to Dinamo was the worst night of the season) But sacking him before the Cup Final was just rash and stupid. How do you expect Ryan Mason to be able to out tactics Pep Guardiola? We were linked to Conte, Ten Haag, Nagelsmann, Fonesca, Rangnick, Gattuso (by far the worse), Lopetegui, Klinsmann, Scott Parker, and probably twenty other names I’ve forgotten. As an Arsenal fan as well, I’m not too bothered. We had 3 days of training, while hubs had 2 weeks plus they’ve already played a few games. We played with our 3rd team for a good portion of the game. ESR, Pepe, Lacazette all had great chemistry when they were on the pitch together. And a big point here: hibs’ second goal was miles offside and the penalty should’ve been retaken. All in all, it was our first game of preseason; don’t look too hard at it.

They've been spoilt...guy's he's right. Every player at the club is so spoilt with all these "world class facilities and all", no wonder football goes for a toss once they join. As a spurs fan while the state of the club is depressing I don't think the appointment of Nuno is a part of that and I am much happy with this appointment than I was with the appointment of Jose. Nuno is a class manager that in my opinion will drastically improve our team
