Keane - what a player and my favourite when i was a young lad. Sadly tainted when he joined Liverpool and then when he came back he was never quite the same.

I agree Keane was a great player and a good goal scorer. I was gutted at the time too when he left us for Liverpool but your right he was never the same player when he returned, maybe he felt bad when it didn’t work out.

I absolutely loved Keano, what a player! Even back then though, there was a bias against Spurs in the commentary. Slating Doherty and Iversen for their mistakes but saying you have to feel for Stubbs when he makes a mistake for one of Keane's goals. I feel like that anti-Tottenham agenda is still a massive factor now, 20 years after this game.

Was this the game where Everton had two keepers injured in the warm up?

Richard Wright hurt his knee in the warm up so Baardsen came in to replace with a late call up. 1 keeper got injured not 2.
