Sorry...the Fernandes incident was a red card. It wasn't intentionally malicious, but it WAS reckless play that endangered another player. Fernandes was frustrated, and I think it might be for this reason that people might want to say this was an "accident." But...in the heat of his frustration, he lashed out with studs up at Maddison's shin to try and stop him. He shouldn't have lashed out at all, but then, did he need to go high with studs up? No. Yes, I realize that this happens pretty fast in real time, but I still think Fernandes had time to be in control of what he was doing.
