I'm not a car builder nor a mechanic by any means but sometimes you just have bad luck. Everyone can see how hard you work and the effort you put in is far beyond most. Don't doubt yourself. You did your part Fate plays the rest. Unfortunately, you have had your share of bad luck, but I really hope it doesn't stop you from keeping it going. Love your content and how genuine you are not to mention how appreciative you are to your fans. I for one will always support you

So I'm new here....I've watched a shitload of no prep stuff in last few years and have seen the truck a lot, but never knew anything about your program or your channel. I'm now subscribed here and on FB because of the Christmas Tree race, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Sucks going out early but it's not always a loss if you're getting publicity out of it. The key to being a successful DragTuber seems to be cross promotion and really slick editing. Do whatever you can to get on other people's channels and have them onto yours. Share their videos and ask them to do the same for you..... "If it's good enough for Jimmy Dale it's good enough for you"...he seems to do a lot with a little, but you see him all over the place. If the goal is to build a brand and grow followers, it's working. I'm proof of that. Just gotta keep grinding, and maybe work on a bit of flash, even if it ain't your style, lol

Nick, you are one of the smartest, hardest-working guys in the game., you do so much on such a minimal budget don't be so hard on yourself. I know you're very good with Machining stuff you should make a new Mandrill out of steel I know you try to keep the weight down but apparently the mandrel is nowhere to save way because I've seen quite a few of these things break and leave people screwed which is something you obviously can't afford to have happen on a big stage like this or when there's a lot of money on the line. I know it really sucks that you're having such a bad year and I know a lot of these things are beyond your control I also know that there's times when you feel like just throwing in the towel. I did that myself a long time ago I gave it up for about 8 years and just let my car sit in the garage but once I got the car back out it was better than ever. I'm having some problems now that I don't have the money to fix at the moment and it's been sitting for a year again but it will be out as soon as I possibly can.

Hey Nick. Just wanted to say it was great seeing you, Rex, and the car in person man! Wish I had the opportunity to b.s with you, but every time I came by, you were busy or talking! I've been watching you since the early Dirty 30 days, and I've seen your talent brother! That isn't what you're lacking, that's for damn sure! Listen, if you want some help from a guy, who has been building show quality cars since i was a kid with my pops, worked for HRE down here, built a few of my own engines and finishing a single 91/102 T6, 408, TH400 in a 99 Camaro. Keeping a/c, real deal streetcar! Only thing i plan on doing is lopping off some weight and clearing for some room up front and a cage. Recently went thru a divorce and I'm far from a gambling man, but I would be willing to try and help you work on a game plan, as well as the car to get you back to where you need to be! There's a few things I have in mind, that may be outside the box of your comfort zone, but possibly help. I'd prefer not to put it out on here, but if you're interested in talking, lmk and we can figure out a way to connect, email, or whatever... I'm definitely driven, and willing to work. I have some experience with suspension, but need to learn a lot...I can offer you a whole album of 2 cars I've put together, along with some pretty old photos of some older, full builds I've done with my dad. If nothing else, it was good seeing you out there man! Keep your head up. We all have strings of bad luck in our lives. It's the way we pick ourselves up and make a statement out of it, that stands us apart from everyone else! I have no quit in me, and driven as ever to prove to myself, more than anyone else, that there's a way to do this, have fun, be competitive enough to consistently go rounds and actually make some money! Weather it be sponsors, help with the right parts, I'm well aware you have connections, but I do too. I know with the help I had doing my Camaro, industry wise, was nothing short of amazing. But, lmk what you think, if you want to talk or whatever...I AM 30min from Immokalee, 90 from Bradenton and about 25 to Mexico... and 'tis the season here to test, race, show, and play. It was cold when you were here!lol... Glad you made it home to your girls safe brother! Tty soon.

Nick, here is what I would do. And some will disagree. I would take a solid 6 months to a year off from racing. And in this. time I would take a deep look on what to do and how. Maybe hit the SEMA and Pri shows and see about sponsorship. Or possibly during this time, work at a race shop. While planning the next move. The reason I say to take time off is because its less stressful. Because you are not doing as much.But hey, you did your best. and that's all you can do. Good Luck.
@HustlinHorsepower

I agree that there is value in that but the sport evolves so fast that taking a year off makes it that much more difficult to catch up….on most surfaces we have been able to run the number it takes….. the parts failures (many were supposed to be the best parts you can buy) have killed us this year!

Shit happens! I have been there and done that. Alternator shorts out [I hate alternators!],, battery isolator switched off going down a dip, fuel tank foam in a supposedly trick filter, shifter lever falling down as a bolt fell out, hit a bird at 170mph [that tried to push the perspex screen in with me], and ran out of fuel while half a lap ahead,,because the track had ran out of fuel!

@HustlinHorsepower those mandrels that are way off the crank make me cringe but it's your only choice tho sometimes. How did you fix the sinking sleeves you had before? Also do you know why you have broke the rods you have broke
@HustlinHorsepower
@HustlinHorsepower 16 күн бұрын
@ we had to deck that brand new block .008 to get the sleeves right. And yes a cam drive would be nice but the nose on these 33 are just t short to run it off the cam. I know we got some rain water in the exhaust but I’m thinking the sinking sleeves were also a contributing factor to the rods breaking

Maybe try to get some friends to go to tracks with you. Then you have a fresh perspective you can lean on for tuff times. You work so hard , sometimes it is easy to not notice a part that is about to fail

@@kentbuerk9479 man, I’m just a younger guy in a unique position and a lot of other people, my age just aren’t able to travel like I do. It’s easy for me to have a crew at any track I want, but the problem with that is we are going so fast nowadays that a new crew person really has to know the car inside and out for it not to be dangerous.

Honestly I think you need to be more consistent with facebook. You should pick one day a week and post a video at that day and time every week and sprinkle in a couple shorts as well. Relying on facebook isn’t the way to stay relevant on social media.

Maybe you need to take some classes on selling yourself too potential Sponsonsors, you need to have a more positive outlook, unless you're wealthy you're not going to do it out of your own pocket and I'm sure you know this, you have to learn how to sell yourself and your program and having a more positive Attitude, get on more of the larger KZbin channels.

I have been watching you off and on for a few years and i notice that most of the time i see you trying to Ducttape and bailing wire shit together and it never works the way you think it should.it takes quailty parts and the proper tolerances and time tobdo well.an analogy is you dont get out of bed in the morninng and go run a marathon right ? ,you have to condition your body for the condition your going to put it throught.i think if you take a different approach you will have a better outcome.i have a customer/friend that runs a Rotary engine with all decent used parts,did proper clearancing for the intrnded use and did dyno time to aquire break in.yhe engine lasted 5 seasons without a hiccup.supposedly rotaries are unreliable but we proved thats not the case.have a merry christmas !

I couldn't bring myself to post 14 minute video of "Straight Whining" I mean it may have seemed like a good Idea, but somewhere in the editing process Nick should have realized that it's not a good look. But I don't want to see him quit by any means. This is why I don't run the big boy class. I get out dollared every time.

Fun fact for the troll that you are….. one year-old crank sugar wheel should not fail. Two-year-old switch panel should not fail. A man that is just a couple years old should not fail. Those are not wear items and they have nothing to do with that amount of money in the program
