Option C. Put him on the IL for 10 games...til after the all star break. Then have him in the bullpen. He has definitely hit the wall.

I was thinking about something similar to this. I would put him on 10-day and bring him back to start after a lengthy rest to see if that helps. If not… bullpen.

They need to bring in another arm and go 6 man rotation for a while. Give everybody more rest.

Gil showed us his potential, but he's only human. He's never had this type of volume before, and it's catching up with him (also, he's coming off arm surgery in 2023). The future remains bright, but smart, strategic thinking is called for here. He can still be enormously important for us in a variety of roles other than as a seasonal "workhorse." For the time being, I'd prefer to see him re-tasked as a high-leverage arm in the bullpen (after some rest), as we desperately also need that. Assuming that his psyche is intact, sending him to AAA as a starter would do little to reduce the mileage on his arm, which I suspect is the primary cause/problem/concern here.

There has to be something that’s tipping away the Yankees pitches because it’s insane to have ALL your pitches go from the best rotation to the worst. Something else to factor, Trevino may not be setting the pitches up for success. All we know is something needs to change in the rotation and soon because we can’t keep hoping to score 10 runs every night to win

Again it starts with coaching !! Why can't they coach the pitcher to pitch the corners ?? It's hard to pitch MLB but accurate curve balls on corners then a fast ball high and tight is a whiff!!!! The problem I see for the Bronx Bomber's is,they're watching the fast ball come over the plate for a strike and frantically they're swinging at ball 3 & ball 4. It hurts. We're losing our momentum. Do the coaches see that???

another couple bad starts and the sky is falling.. egad.. look at the names.. how many guys are currently on the IL or just dinged? The injury bug has finally hit. when everyone is back, then worry.. the BP... well, there have been a few there who've been on borrowed time.. still, Boone has never used a BP really well... but it's even harder when most of the guys are names that were not here long ago. (like May)

Put the guy ion the bullpen let him rest his are and the bullpen is bad right now it is wirn out by a bunch of 5 inning starters. This is essentially his first year and the innings are catching up to him. I am tired about all this talking about trades. Who do we have to trade? The better prospects are essentially untouchable, unless they get a blockbuster trade - You know a great starter and an all-star third-baseman. .
