In my observation . . . Ever since they have depended upon Grisham (.126) to be your starting CF, the doldrums became permanent. Not that they weren't spotty before that . . . but the consistent losing became permanent when the defensively strong, offensively inept, Grisham was asked to step up.

The Yankees' rebuild was basically a failure. They could have broken up the team after 2010 and the results would have been no worse in terms of winning a championship. Now almost 15 years later, they find themselves face down in the mud and humiliated all the more for having tried so pitifully hard.

The Yankees lead the league in hitting into double plays. That kills an opportunity to score runs. I’ve seen it so many times when they load bases with no outs, they come up empty handed. Occasionally they might score one run. THAT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. They need to fix that issue. I’ve seen opposing teams score on those opportunities against the Yankees. That sucks big time. There’s no end to this at all. THIS HAS TO STOP !!!! Maybe trying to pull a squeeze play would produce some runs. I’m so frustrated! I know I’m not the only one !!

Also lame is their penchant for the running on contact play with a guy on third and less than 2 outs. They get thrown out at the plate every freakin’ time! What an idiotic play and yet they continue to try to score when it is usually a ground out to an infielder, so their potential run gets erased very quickly and man is that ever a morale killer.

Same thing that happened last year, their lineup lacks the depth to string hits together and produce runs consistently. The Yankees need to bring in at least 2 bats, if they want to complete in the playoffs. The best options for this are probably Guerrero Jr and Ketel Marte.

Everyone got the pitchforks out calling for Boone and Cashman to be fired. That fixes nothing. The pitching staff has been horrid. That is the cause of almost every loss in the past month. They were all hot at the start of the season, which was cool and all, but they all cool off. You dont want that happening to all of them at once, which is exactly what has happened. Yes, a bunch of bats have cooled off too, but when the pitching gives up 5-10 runs every game, it puts too much pressure on hitters to make something happen. They start swinging at pitches out of the zone, just trying to make contact. Most of which result in pop flys and double play grounders. Fix the pitching issues, this problem goes away.

This channel showed up on suggested channels I’m a giant Baltimore Orioles fan but I’m also a fan of the game and have been since 1965 the Yankees have always had guys I liked Mickey,Babe,Rodgers,Yogi,Jeter,Craig,Munson,Jackson,Randolph,Paul also Mariano undoubtedly the greatest closer ever to play the game let’s not forget Bucky freaking Dent !! My Orioles have turned it around playing ball with every single team it’s all because of the youth movement and the hunger for big salaries like Judge and Soto receive along Ohtani !! I know it’s hard to watch your team struggle especially when you’re use to winning baseball !! My O’s have not been in the World Series since 1983 that’s 41 years our owner was about making money not about seriously winning a title but now we he an owner who is an Orioles fan first and an owner next !! He has said he wants the World Series trophy back to Baltimore and will do every possible to make it happen !! The fans are engaged again and excited about what the future holds !! I believe that Aaron Judge needs to hold a players only closed door meeting because when you have egos getting in the way of playing the game it causes friction between players !!

This is the same thing that happened last season. The only difference is it happened after the All Star game. Unfortunately I think the lack of any concern by the manager has kind of set the tone. As for Torres they need to move him since he's a free agent, same with Holmes. I mean holding on and letting them walk would be stupid but this organization under Hal seems to like stupid moves

There is so much talent on this team that isn't realized. People are blaming management because, for some reason, guys who are proven good players are mysteriously not performing. I remember feeling the same in 2022. It makes you ask what in hell is going on inside of this organization. How is it possible to crash and burn so badly again? And why do they always wait till the last minute at the trade deadline to improve. They hang onto players until they have no value. It's just so frustrating and disappointing to watch them go from so good to so bad. My blood type has always been and will always be NYY. I really hope they can figure out what they're missing or doing wrong internally and fix it. And for heaven's sake, get a real closer!

We could have did better and it comes down on leadership. there is not much fundamentals sloppy play comes down to coaching. We obviously need one or two infielders and hopefully a third baseman. vivas is playing some third base but he's so much better at second. I think it would take a lot to get McMahon. I don't see the Yankees getting him. dj has three extra bass hits this year. No power as you said. No speed. That slow roller was hit 67 mph. He couldn't beat it out, not even close.

Can you imagine Billy Martin putting up with this lackadaisical play? He pulled a HOF out of a game for loafing on a fly ball. Reggie Jackson. And what happened that season? Yankees won the World Series and Reggie hit 3 home runs in Game 6. I wish Boone would get mad at his players as he does the umpires because this team needs a 🔥 lit under their you know what’s. BTW, Girardi never had losing streaks like this. Under Boone, they always look unstoppable in the beginning of the season and then they fall apart. Haven’t we seen enough? I would let Orlando bet against the righties and let DJ bet against the lefties at worse until we find a replacement. Rodan, as far as he goes, if he doesn't pitch well, we are screwed anyway no matter what we do. here's a few stats on him. Since June 1st no home runs. batting 178. yep 178. get this one. he just doesn't like to walk since June 1st. four walks. we'll have to accept that. he's not the player that we really wanted. Early on players were smiling and having a good ole time when they were winning but as soon as it got tough, the players have folded. Boone is a issue no doubt as it seems this is a issue every year but the players are the reason for the slide. These are professionals but they are soft with no fight in them. No one but Judge, Soto and Cole have stepped up. Went from needing a couple of pieces at the trade deadline to once again too many holes to fill in OF,3rd, 2nd, C, Bullpen and Starting rotation. I hope that I am wrong but I feel this is not a championship caliber team....

Joe, I said in spring training that this team, as it sits, is nothing more than a third place team. Without wholesale changes, that's what they are. Cabrera, Wells, Rice and Peraza have to play everyday. Move Vople to second where he belongs and put Peraza at short...Cabrera at third, until they find a true third baseman... LeGroundout is done!
