My brother and I have fished Folsom since the late 80s and we have a love/hate relationship with this lake; we're both 5 mins from Dike 8 which is our main launch when it's open; we mainly fish the Delta as it's night and day difference (at least for us) but your vids are giving us a renewed interest in Folsom; we went out today and fished South Fork and picked up a few on squarebill cranks and swimbaits. Not a lot, only a couple few each, but our interest in our backyard lake has sparked. Still gonna fish the Delta, but on days we don't feel like drivin' an hour each way fighting traffic, Folsom is back on the agenda. Thanx for your vids!! btw, I'm the only Tracker with a white trolling motor and white power pole. Feel free to holler at us and I'll say Hi if we recognize you!!!

I’ve been fishing Folsom since about the 90s but mainly from shore, got my boat about 5 years ago and have been fishing there religiously ever since. I grew up fishing tournaments outta the Delta but fishin by myself I gotta watch the gas costs. I was gonna go into the South Fork yesterday but the lake was way too rough to make that run from Granite Bay. I live in Orangevale so I normally go outta Granite cause I’m not a fan of that long ass launch ramp at Dyke 8/Folsom Pointe. So when I plan to go South I go to Browns. Glad you’re givin Folsom another shot, its been fishin great but the Lake lice are always thick out there. Thanks for the view and I’ll definitely be on the look out for the white trolling motor on a Tracker.

The swimbait bite has been dying down for me too. I've been catching some good ones dragging a green pumpkin tube and a ned. Seems like most have gone deeper 15-30 ft and are glued to the bottom. Fish on buddy!!
@proambass80275 ай бұрын
Exactly!!! The last 2 weeks in a row they’ve just been stuck on the bottom. Was out today and got quite a few on the swimbait but nothing over 2lbs. Got some top water and fluke action today too.

@@proambass8027 that's good to hear, I haven't got any top water bites yet but plan on throwing my favorite spook next time I'm out. Tried it at first light last week and didn't get any action. It will be interesting to see what they catch at the big NewJen Pro/am tournament tomorrow. It's going to be a zoo out there!!

@@SeeLifeBro I wanna try and go to the weigh in’s for the NewJen tournament. I’d love to see how they did.

@@proambass8027 I'm going to go to the weigh in Sunday maybe I'll see you out there. I'm going to predict 17 pounds a day will win. 17 would be a super nice bag for Folsom right now.
@proambass80275 ай бұрын
Yup, I was thinkin the same thing. 15-17lbs a day to win. They’re gonna have to find those largies.

Great job! Had the same issue last Thursday. Could not find em in trees. Did find them over rock in coves at 10 to 15’.
@proambass80275 ай бұрын
Yup! They’ve been there on the rock in coves for the last couple weeks for me. Thanks for the view/comment man, see you out there!!!

You switched over the the megabass Okashira real quick! LOL. I do wantto try that Zman bait.
@proambass80275 ай бұрын
Hahaha I was doin about 10 minutes on each bait at each spot at 3 different spots then I realized they weren’t following the same pattern as the previous week. So I went to my confidence bait until I figured out what was going on. Took me almost 3 hours. The Zman bait looks good, im not done with it yet. Haha

Dont fish Folsom much, but your videos are making me think maybe i should. That 3 pounder was a beauty. I fish from a kayak a lot. Its only a peddle drive so my range isnt very far. What launch would you suggest? Thanks for sharing.
@proambass80275 ай бұрын
I’m a little biased but I like the Granite Bay launch ramp. Its the busiest but it has 2 big launch ramps and 5 total docks between the 2. Depends what you like to fish, I like trees and rock so I like Granite Bay because its close to a ton of trees and the Peninsula which has trees and a ton of underwater rock piles. It’s doable with a pedal drive.
@robertmayes76295 ай бұрын
I'll give that a try. Planning on getting out there next week. Thanks for the reply. I'll let you know how it goes.

I enjoy Folsom as well since I live in Rocklin, I also love your videos! This is the first year that I really started to fish Folsom and it has been pretty good. not sure why guys stay away from it. I got a Folsom vid as well. Do you usually go during the weekdays to stay away from all the jet boats an skiers?
@proambass80275 ай бұрын
Bro the lake lice is insane on the weekends, I have Fri/Sat off now so I try to go on Fridays but even then its still busy. That’s awesome, thanks for the views, I’ll go sub to your channel too!!!
