Yeah them messing up the hot wire and thus allowing Vanessa’s dad to get a good look at the model of the car makes it extremely easy for the cops to catch him at road stop and the FBI catching him on the hike.

​@@adroitkim85 nah the FBI shows up because Jay drove past the officer checking cars and gets arrested because they chose to surrender. If they chose to run, Jay could've gotten away if they got all the quick times.

Nice play through. Y'all definitely made a lot of different choices than me back when I played this at launch. Also, about the Grandfather's dog still being alive, my dog was born in 2003, he didn't die until 2021. He was blind and slow but he had a long life. It became a running joke that he was going to outlive everybody 😂

I was just about to mention something similar. My dog just passed away this year and he was originally my grandpa's dog. We took him in when grandpa passed and our dog was born in 2000. Small dogs can live pretty long.

This game's story captivated me harder than a lot of other games, the whole game over all is so god damn good, it's so unique. Something that gets me hard is the character designs, they're so insanely realistic that I almost feel like I can recognise them from real life.

Could of sworn Bear was still Jay's dad. Just he slept with Sharon's sister which is why Bear liked Jay more. Probably felt he needed to treat Jay better since he no longer had a mother

Interesting theory. It makes sense why he favoured Jay over his other two sons. To add on to that theory, I think Jim (Zoe’s grandpa) was involved in Sharon’s sister death. They said he was in two rock 15 years ago which is around the time Jay would’ve been adopted by Sharon and Bear. Jim notably only hides from Dante and Sharon in this game and is only slightly recognized by Paul.

Vanessa is listening to Jay tell her about his family who puts him in actual mortal danger and and she's like "Yeah! I totally understand! Like, my dad makes me go to a private school and he yells at me when I smoke weed." Sharon just stressed me out because we just watched her fuck up a whole plot and lose a couple of her kids in the process. Now she's going back for more.

They want so badly for everything to okay, at least Sheera does. I can tell Roshi gets suspicious but he never acts on his instincts. If there was a zombie apocalypse they’d be done in the first few days, they’re just too nice and trusting. A random co-worker shouldn’t be telling your wife how much they miss her. YourRAGE played this game and his decisions were clearly from the mind of a 26 year old. He was immediately suspicious of the wife and pressed her without a second thought. That’s someone comfortable with being single. Roshi has built a foundation with Sheera and would likely give her the benefit of the doubt IRL.

Okay, I gotta say, I watched this right after watching the Detroit playthrough and this game is a hundred times better. I initially wasn't interested in this because of the style but this proves that good writing, and decisions with actual consequences beats high budget productions any day. Loved your playthrough and now heavily invested like a good tv show. Can't wait for the next one!

After seeing another play through, yours is probably the biggest W. I'm curious about other Jay endings though, because even though he could've been free if you ran, he didn't seem anymore happy in that ending than in prison. 🥲 You both were understanding of Jay's situation and I got why yall chose everything you chose. I would've liked to see Vanessa, but more for story purposes than it being a "good" decision and I wouldn't have let that slide with the wife. Talking about some "don't let this ruin our night", her behaviour was a clear sign she had something to hide. If the marriage ended because of getting the truth out of her I wouldn't have minded, being honest with a SO is not a luxury. And you could've stayed with her after anyway, she just got away with it in yours.
