Topically.. in 4000 cases we did this past 2 years we only had to use oral antifungal 3 times 🙃

That was the base of the fungi.. it was already invading eardrum underneath it. That's why it bleeds.

I've had this done to me with thay aspergillosis fungi many years ago. It was a relentless infection that lasted 2 years. What the doctor would do was always a huge relief and I could hear again after each appointment. It's when the very fast growing fungus grew and plugged up my ear, that it was very painful. Eventually it completely went away with prescribed drops. Ever since, I've had hearing problems from the ear.

So many of these come from 3rd world or low income with sparse health care. We get at least yearly check ups where our ears are checked Some have chronic buildup but this is neglect.

As a patie t of this procedure, more times than remember. No, sedation. They can't ceven put in numbing drops. Becuse they will just sit on top of fungas!😊

Its fungus .. the dark spot at the 6 oclock is a hematoma/ bruise caused my patient's self attempt to remove this thing himself
