Touhou 14: Double Dealing Character - Stage 3 (New Commentary Version)

Stage 3 by itself isn't terribly difficult, but it has the same issue Stage 2 did in that if you want the multitude of resources it offers you need to do some stupid stuff.
Mid-boss Kagerou is fairly straightforward with her attacks and they're not too crisscrossy yet. It's more of a warm-up for her boss fight.
Kagerou as a boss however is a bit of a trip. Her attacks tend to come from a bunch of angles and her rapid moving about can be quite intimidating. However barring the angled shots, her movements are very predictable, so as long as you move accordingly you'll do fine.

5:10 Waggy Saggy is a fish, awoos eat fish, that's why And I swear to god Kagerou first two cards are pretty luck based. Her 3rd card can take a new player by surprise but it isn't *as bad* and I quite like her the most out of the first three bosses. Her theme is cool, she has a nice look and SakuyaB reveals she does wolfman impressions at the SDM ("Whenever ah see a full moon, ah transform!" followed by visible silence from both of them). Next time we dodge rain

It IS random, watching Lunatic players they complain that Kagerou is harder than the next 3 stage bosses as a result.

Hahayes... This bitch. All I hear about her on Lunatic is horror tales about how unfair she is. Also fun fact, the audio file for her roar is still in the files for LoLK, HSiFS and WBaWC, albeit not used anywhere there. Another thing on the pile of ZUN's "used once but then never again however he still leaves them in the files" things.

I have a compulsion to collect all the points I can whenever I see a moment, it gets risky going up there sometimes (Wriggle Kick), I do like DDC's bonus fragments more than how TD hides them inside clouds where the enemies just died. Like he said you can go up whenever you see a fair number of items. I'm almost starting to like SA's system, every spell a life piece will float down towards you and you have just enough time to get it before the next spell kicks in or swing up top sometimes. It's very frustrating when you end up losing lives early on because of the mechanics that let you stockpile lives. Worse when the lives are tied to points and you not only need every piece you can but it expects you to graze harder, so I didn't go to the collection zone to get 1/5 of a bomb I went to get 1/100th of 20,000,000 points
