EDIT : One year later : 53 likes and 6.75k views. It's the first time I've seen a great amount of feedback and I'm very, very, very happy to see this result! A video showing the 6th and Final Stage of Legacy of Lunatic Kingdom, "live gameplay" (meaning it's not a replay!).
Junko is possibly the HARDEST BOSS on Touhou. Because of the purity of her patterns.
There are so simple, thus the dodge should be? Ha, as if...
One could say the purification affects the player. The player knows how simple the patterns are, just by looking at the screen. But death is mostly inevitable, even with the smallest hitbox. Thus, the player purify himself/herself, to let anger place. He/She will fell anger toward Junko and her attacks. And each time he/she dies, he will show how angry he/she is.
And then, in the end... another purification, but this time, a new feeling - a happy one. Pure joy. Pure overwhelming joy. A smile begins to draw on your face. "Is it really over?"
"YES IT IS!"
The satisfaction to beat even the PUREST life form.
It is... so pristine.

Always loved how Junko's spell cards are designed to be infuriating and deliberately break the spell card rules. She doesn't care about the rules or making beautiful danmaku, she's there purely to kill you, pun intended.

+Bonnie the Bunny At one point, I can understand them, but you resume my thoughts. ZUN has done a good job showing of much _hate_ she possesses. Even the name of her spell cards are referring to *_kill you_* (Lilies of Murderous Intent and Pristine Danmaku for Killing a Person). For you request, I will try. However, I recommend the video of Ranko Hoshino. He/She has done all six stages in Lunatic without dying nor bombing. A truly master, I must say.

Yep, that last spell is an asshole. Had to bin my previous Pointdevice run because I had no bombs left for her bullshit. The first two stages are easy, then stage 3 just comes up and murders you. It reminds me a lot of Flandre's last spellcard.

i'm a fan gamer, i play touhou for storyline and all, on Easy-Normal. so like two day ago my hands got to LoLK and jfc Zun, this. This is fucking insane even on Easy mode. Droped it on 100500th repeat of Purely Danmaku Hell. Tho tbh, for me Clownpiece was more challenging, than Junko.

+•Chara Dreemurr• (“Wefe”) Yes, this game is very difficult even on Easy, thanks to Pointdevice (that somehow skyrocket the difficult lel). I may suggest you to play the 13th (Ten Desires) or 14th (Double Dealing Character) before playing LoLK, they are the easiest of the modern era. Also the 7th (PCB) and 8th (IN), quite fun and easy at the same time. I hope you had fun, even if Clownpiece and Junko are the antagonists of fun! :)

+•Chara Dreemurr• (“Wefe”) All Touhou game can have a resolution of 640x480 at fullscreen. With those settings, there will have black lines at the left and at the right. For the zoom, simply download the zip file. Extract it and copy-paste the content into the folder where the game is (the exe file). This operation is needed for Touhou 6 to 9.5. Johnson Lim No, you can use a joystick for PC or an 360/Xbox One/PS3/PS4 controller. I don't know how to configure them, since I mostly play with the keyboard, but I think it's easy to find if you search on Google. If you want to play with your keyboard, but some controls are impossible (for example : going diagonally), you can use GlovePIE to reconfigure "virtually" your keyboard. Hope I help you!

ReshicraftHD Defensor Hmmm, that is a good question! LoLK has an easy way to obtain life/spell card, Pointdevice is a good mode to study patterns (in lesser difficulties). However, the difficulty is high, even at the beginning of the game. LLS and MS have lesser way to obtain lifes (score and point objects; 1-up), but obtaining a life, getting MAX Power (and Dream Power in MS) can cancel bullets. I've also read that in LLS and MS, there is a Rank factor, which affects the speed and how much the bullets cover the screen. In the end, I think they are similar, but LLS and MS are a little bit more difficult than LoLK, due to the fact of the Rank Factor. And you, what do you think is the most difficult: LoLK or the PC-98 games?

Probably a bit late to reply to this, but how can you seriously think LOLK is easier than the PC98 games? There is, in my opinion, no doubt that LOLK is the hardest, and that isn't even a question of skill. Leaving Touhou 2 aside, in LLS and MS you can easily figure out strategies that work all the time for most "difficult" things that come at you, and for the more difficult things, you can just bomb if you lack the skill + The older games (or basically anything that isn't LOLK) is designed in such a way, that you still have somewhat of a chance of surviving attacks even if you haven't seen them before. In LOLK most, but not all attacks seem to require that you know what is going to happen and how to deal with it exactly in order to survive them. It took me only about 10 tries to get a lunatic 1CC in all of the PC98 games. In LOLK it took me, well, quite a few more tries : P
