My guess for what Keine's ability to create history means is, if we take "eating history" to mean she makes it so that something that already happened in the past never actually happened (making the human village invisible by temporarily changing history so it was never actually built), maybe "creating history" is essentially the ability to "plant" an event in the past that didn't happen, and make it so that it did happen at a specific point in time. I have no idea how she would actually use that but it sounds cool in theory and makes sense as something she would only be able to do in her "true" form imo.

Youkai Mountain was technically established in Perfect Memento in Strict Sense, about 5 months before Mountain of Faith's trial was released. It even mentions the tengu and kappa society, with the latter not even having a character until MoF. Also, I just want to mention how Merlin blends perfectly into Yuuka's parasol.

Looks like it actually did explain Mokou's Power: "Spontaneous Human Combustion", means Mokou literally uses the mythical Spontaneous Human Combustion (that can supposedly happen to any human) to "kill herself" via bursting into flames. Which is freaking horrific. As to Keine's lack of appearances, While obviously not part of the text, I started to think up this weird little theory from Forbidden Scrollery. Then I saw how mysterious her half visible figure in comic panels appeared in Forbidden Scrollery, where she was barely on panel, I started liking to imagine she keeps eating herself out of stories. Maybe even the characters in IN don't remember her. That would be pretty cool, though if she ever appears in anything else in canon at all, my fun little theory falls apart.

I have seen Keine with mokou visiting the shrine in festivals (one was in WaHH another in VFiS, cant remember others)

Honestly that would make sense, she obviously doesnt want people to know she exists at all, and the only reason you can see her in imperishable night stage 3 is because she is 1)trying to drive you out of the village 2) yukari bullshit 3) because you cant make fan art of a character who isnt there *cough cough rin satsuki cough*

@@superj1e2z6 Wait a minute I got it, maybe she still hid herself at the school in FS. Maybe she just doesn't like being seen in town. I mean look how she dresses.. (Though the argument has been made that artists just put characters they like in the background of festivals. So canonicaly maybe that's just the equivalent of her being chill with it at the time, dang im really pushing this. It's just too cool to pass up the potential head canon.)

For Japanese basically the three alphabets are like this. Katakana = Foreign names/words and words like "BANG" "KABOOM" (phonetic) Hiragana = Japanese names/words phonetic. Not really that precise sometimes which is why verbally Japanese media loves puns (phonetic) Kanji = More specific picture-words based on Chinese characters. They're not entirely more specific since some have six or so meanings, so it's mostly contextual.

I think Keine's ability is a fancy way of describing something simple. I think what should really be considered is her in-description ability to know all of Gensokyo's history. In PMiSS, Akyuu says that she takes this opportunity to "create history". She writes does the new knowledge she has obtained since the previous full moon (and as a result is pissy and will literally headbutt you if you interrupt her). History is written, so her ability to "create history" is quite literal: as a full Hakutaku on the night of the full moon, she is able to record history.

Youmu is my all-time favorite characters. She is the reason I like myrmidons and mercenaries in fire emblem. She reminds me of Mutiple fire emblem myrmidons. Mareeta is a female swordsman that wears green clothing, strong-willed and serious, both have parents who are masters of the sword and instructor. (Galzus (biological father), Eyvel (adoptive mother) and Youki (grandfather or father? of Youmu), they are also friends of a princess (Nanna and Yuyuko). Marisa (she kind of looks like Meira and Yorihime), not Touhou), Marisa is a stoic, quiet, blunt. She's socially awkward. She is clumsy in everything else than fighting. They both have a playful-easy-going, and charming friend (Tethys and Yuyuko). Mia is friends with Ilyana, a gluttonous girl, Fir, a headstrong, single-minded, and calm girl who is gullible. They both have an older male relative as a tutor, her uncle Karel. Ayra, a brash, serious, and straightforward woman. Ayra has the skill Astra, in which you are able strike 5 times. Fe4 came out the same year as Th1 and earlier than Touhou 1. Which has the character Kongara, who's is the "astra"l knight. Larcei who daughter is also strong-willed, serious, and brash like her mom )Larcei is a spunkier and hyper though. Also, her tutor is her cousin Shannan. Altina wields two swords. Lyn is a the most well-known female lord in fire emblem. She is a stout-hearted, kind and caring young lady. Her motif is green. Her learned sword arts from her father. Karla is the mother of Fir, she is naive, aloof, and cool-natured. She mastered sword arts. Youmu is a huge reason, I like female myrmidons in Fire Emblem. I recently got into fire emblem in 2020 or 2021. I realized a lot of the female myrmidons share traits of Youmu,Meira, and Yorihime. Momiji give me lots of vibes of Creidne/Radney, Machyua, and Echidna. Being female Mercenaries/heroes. Also, in Seihou there are the death twins Mei and Mai which remind me of Larcei and Ulster as they were called the murder twins in english fandom/ and shinigami twins in Japanese fandom due to their incredible combat having some decent skills, growths, and stats. Some say that Ayra could be fall in love with a broomstick and her kids still be amazing. However, they have a huge flaw, Larcei and Ulster are in FE4 as foot-locked units, a game which huge maps making it pretty mount heavy.

Eirin is confirmed to be a hourai immortal in the Netherworld ending of Imperishable Night, wherein she explains that she is healthy/cannot die because she has drank the medicine created with Kaguya's power. It can probably be assumed she took it after abandoning the moon and fleeing with Kaguya. Also I don't think that the emissaries with Eirin were rabbits. I mean, they could be, but Eirin was with them--always figured it would make sense if it was also other Lunarians with her. It also makes her decision hit harder since indeed, lunarians otherwise don't care about rabbits. They do care about lunarians though.
