TOUR A FARM IN FRANCE

In today's episode of farming life at la forge, we are getting our new Pottinger mowers delivered and then I will be bringing you on a tour of our second farm. You'll get to see our farm yard that was once a little hamlet, as well as a drone view of our 700acres of land around the farm. From livestock to storage sheds, and all of the stuff/scrap left behind by the previous owners.

Amazing that huge farms are available to rent or buy at low prices in France. As you know in Ireland you couldn't get anything remotely like that.

It’s like renting your own little village. Your own workshop is just about the perfect size. I’d give just about anything for that classic anvil in the one shed/workshop you’re cleaning out. Second favourite item after all the drawers. Great tour. Thank you Laura

Oh my goodness- I have fallen in love with that farm. Those buildings and houses, what a dream please for spending lots of money. Cattle look good as always. That Pottinger mower was in very good condition for its age, great mowers too. Can’t believe they sold it without PTO guards - tut tut tut. Some lovely views in this video Laura, thank you. I still find it amazing that you don’t have any sign of being French ! Being taught there has left no trace in you, you are as Irish as the day you left Ireland. I wish I had seen a bigger farm like yours when I was in my 20’s or 30’s - your Mum and Dad made the right gamble when they moved over there. Brave, but fortune favours the brave. Thanks! depending on the land and for just land it would be about 80-100€/hectar. more if there are sheds on the property

How do you manage all this land with just 3 of you 😳😳, amazing barn set up. Not sure how you edit your videos, but maybe try to do a global exposure reduction as a lot of the video is over exposed. Thank you thank you for the wonderful video Emily. How far apart are your farms? It is amazing how they left the farm in such a mess with so much stuff. Are the houses livable and when you rent there do you have multi-year leases so when you clean it up you do not lose all of your time involved being loss? I bet the houses are beautiful inside. Thanks again and with this video it makes it so easy to put into perspective when you video your videos. You do an excellent job. I did watch the video to hear the lease situation.
