Well, I think I’ll do a brief look at my little condo in Florida. I’m nomadic enough that I keep small quarters in a few places, I broke up the larger house I had in order to be more flexible

It is not called decob corn in Illinois, it is Dekalb, the L is not silent. I am from there and now live in the south, and it drives me crazy that they pronounce it like that. Just my rant! Also have you ever done the 127 flea market in August. It runs from Michigan to Alabama, and last for 4 days to a week! Lots of fun if it doesn't rain.
@TheAntiqueNomad4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for telling me that! It's from Dekalb so I'll have to retrain myself to say it correctly, so many towns have regional pronunciations and that makes them right, hard to tell when just reading...all of us from the West Coast have said it wrong for years because we saw a corn cob and just assumed! I want very much to do the Hwy. 127 sale someday, I've done the 68/80 sale across KY and it's so fun

You could get a Bluetooth wireless microphone. The girls at the Recycled Life have one, if you want to see how the audio quality is. I really enjoy your videos. My goal is to buy a 6' (ish) aluminum tree....under $100. So far I have found one for $350, and another for $250...getting closer.

I did get one to try when I have a camera person filming, it seemed to help! So leaning all this
@MimisTreasureCottage4 жыл бұрын
@@TheAntiqueNomad Me, too. I don't have one yet myself. I did get a lapel mic for my regular videos, though, and that was helpful. I don't do many shop alongs, and when I do, I am usually alone and don't like to appear as if I'm talking to myself anyway. Lol.

It's great reception, etc but if u could mention prices please because they do vary? The alligator. purse. Thank u!
@TheAntiqueNomad Жыл бұрын
Hi there! I probably mention prices more than I used to when I filmed this, but I also sometimes focus just on the info about the item too. My concern (as you say) is that prices vary, and if they swing a lot in the future this will lose relevance...so it's a fine line.

I am horrified by purses with either the alligator head or their feet ON the purses, but the sight of a disco ball (mine hangs in the corner of my living room) sends my heart soaring happily! I really like this particular antique mall. It's great fun seeing all the unique pieces they have.
@TheAntiqueNomad2 жыл бұрын
I agree! I have seen native tribal members wear the full taxidermy well though. I do like the disco ball, so iconic!

I don't think I'd ever have done this without his help, I've gotten more used to filming on my own when I have to but it's more fun when he does his thing (well) and I can focus on mine

wow! I loved all of the light fixtures hanging with the disco ball.

Have you heard of any stores being damaged or closing in Seattle?
@TheAntiqueNomad4 жыл бұрын
No, not at all. The area with the protests is really limited in size, much smaller than the media hype would imply, and is near non-corporate businesses which are not the focus of the protesters.

Or Portland?
@TheAntiqueNomad4 жыл бұрын
Same answer in Portland. The anger seems to be against Federal institutions and their agents, along with some very specific vandalism of specific large corporate stores who are said by the protesters to exploit offshore labor.
