Do you have to ride in the bike lane with that thing?

It is a bicycle, but FL statutes permit exceptions to mandatory bike lane use. Most of the area in which I ride does not have bike lanes, only striped shoulders and the local traffic court has ruled that I am not in violation.

Fred U. (Looks like I have a gmail now and KZbin sends my mail there. oops) I guess it a timely read for me. I was just today wondering on how to tell the different from striped shoulders, that do move over to the left of a right turn only lane. (I'm in FL.) I asked because at the end of the video it sure looks like a bike lane. And your bike sure doesn't look like it can fit in one.

cook7772 Florida statutes require markings in the form of signs to denote a bike lane. The stripes are similar to that of bike lanes. The lower height of my velomobile puts me at greater risk if I marginalize my position, so I don't ride on the shoulder or in bike lanes, as permitted by the exceptions written into the statutes.
