I love Tewkesbury I go there on holiday

Hi Jacob I agree, Tewkesbury is a great place to take a holiday. There is an excellent caravan site, a marina for keen boaters, as well as hotels, self catering appartments, guest houses and B&B's. There is plenty to see and do in the town which has a variety of cafes, restaurants, museums and a theatre / cinema. There are many interesting, pretty, historic and cultural places to visit in the wider region. Have a great time there during your next holiday.

Lovely video and I'm so glad I found it. I stayed at The Royal Hop Pole in Tewksbury in the early 90's when I was a teenager.

Thank you so much Amy, I'm glad that you enjoyed the video. I hope that you will come back to visit Tewkesbury again sometime soon. During the summer people can book a guided walk around the town and discover a bit more of its amazing history and heritage.

I have just subscribed, i really have enjoyed all your videos and I love to explore the Cotswolds, I’m very blessed to live in the Cotswolds. I was brought up in the village of Highnam, an equally beautiful place ... I would highly recommend the old Anglo Saxon church which is at the very end of Lassington Lane, a beautiful little lane takes you all the way down, and the historic site at the end is well worth the 15 minute walk. I was brought up so close, I went up and down that lane so many times as a child, not knowing what a truly historic piece the old closed up church was at the end. From the church tower (which is the only part left), you can see in all directions around you. Anyway, I love your videos and thank you so much for stopping by Tewkesbury, the place I chose to raise my children.

It is a lovely area, although each time I visit more housing and industry seems to be built on the outskirts, although I have been visiting for 48 years! The only downside is the risk of flooding, although other lovely places I visit regularly, such as York, suffer similarly. I'd like to find out how Tewkesbury compares to places such as Ross on Wye, Hereford, and Evesham for visits and living. At present I'm scouring the whole UK for a place to retire in years to come.

Hi Michael Thank you for your comments. You are right this is a lovely area and each town and village has its own fascinating history and unique character. My interest in creating these videos is as a Tourist Guide. If I had to move house I'd have great difficulty in choosing where to live myself let alone advise anyone else. Also I think your requirements will change when you retire, so what place appeals to you now will be different in years to come.

@@AnneBartlett Thank you for the fascinating videos and the reply. Yes. I have seven years to find the right place, so plenty of time. I want to explore Northumberland and Scotland before I settle on anything.

Thank you for making these splendid videos. What villages or towns would you suggest for someone looking to spend some time where one could see sheep, cows etc. from their window. Where the village/ town has good number of shops and historical sites within short distance. Good for pleasant nature walks, would be awesome if there was a stream or river to enjoy. I don't live in England so thanks for any information!

Thank you very much for your lovely comment. Gloucestershire is a lovely varied county and well worth visiting. The Cotswold towns and villages are in a rural area so you will need your own transport to get to see the farm animals. Do look at the website Cotswolds.com for lots more information.
