The best cleansing combo...cheap mustard $2 from Walmart inplastic bottle, and baking soda. Squirt enough mustard and baking soda and some water and it cuts all grease and leaves a fresh smell. Vinegar, baking soda and mustard is all I use for cleaning.

We own a 2017 nv200 and use it for combination camping and hauling anything/everything. Great vehicle. We highly recommend the first thing we bought for it....wind/rain guards for the door windows. About $70 for the pair from Nissan dealers. Allows you to leave windows unnoticeably open at least an inch for venting - even in the rain. With no other venting in our BIGBUS, and just using couple o' battery fans, the window vents really help.

I noticed that your pop up roof also gives you the better use of the solar panel, when you park to the direction which sun target to the solar panel. It is much better than the solar panel sitting flat on the roof. I give you one advice for dish washing technique. Buy one more spray bottle for dish washing soap and dilute the soap 10-20 times with water. They still work as dish washing soap, and you can use for other purposes too. It is also easy to clean up when dilute. Original dish washing soaps are so condensed. This way I am only buying one dish soap a year. Good for environment and money saving too. :)

Hey Nate, Watched today's AdventureVanMan with Brian. He interviewed and van toured a fellow that uses the same Dometic refrig you have. He sets the controls to freeze and keeps a couple blue chemical rectangular ice packs in there...along with making ice for his drinks. Every morning, he moves one of the blue ice packs to a styrofoam cooler, which becomes his refrigerator. So, if you need more refrigerated capacity, without spending a bunch to get a bigger Domentic...pick up a cooler and some gel ice packs. (if you have room) Also, the fellow reported that he built an insulated box around his CF18 (1" poly iso with vent holes) and without touching the controls, the temperature of the freezer dropped 8 degrees. I guess the extra insulation made the compressor work more efficiently. (again, if you have the room to do it)

@@WeatherPilot There's another youtuber who has exactly done that for NV200. I think he used some common carseat-swivel and drilled holes for it to fit. Lookup NV200 Camper.

If it swivels, you can swivel it back to look like a standard seat. And honestly, most people in these threads think way more about this stuff then casual people on the street. Quite a few people have reversed seats in Urban Vanlife and it means nothing to casual people on the street.

Those GTRV pop-tops are awesome but it sure is a high cost to invest..$8500-$10K for just the pop-top...they seem to do awesome work and you do have an a great van! I think for that price though I would have invested in a Roadtrek or other Class B just for resale value..Hard to recoup that pop-top investment but I'm sure you will keep this a LONG time as you seem to do!! Safe travels!!
