This home, not just apartment, but this home that you have created is beyond words. Watching this tour and seeing someone who for most of his adult life has been nomadic share with beaming joy and pride this space they envisioned brought to life, a place they can claim for an indefinite amount of time to be theirs, to put roots...it moved me deeply. I have moved around a lot in my life and i yearn so deeply to be able to create a place like the one you have generously shared with your viewers, somewhere where i can put things up on the walls (i've lived 3 years in my place and i have a poster taped to the wall) specially a (GORGEOUS btw) empty frame and take the time to find the right art piece for it, it is all i dream of. And while the finished product is beautiful, i also know that it didn't happen overnight for you - not the renovation, not the purchase and least of all the finding a city/country to call home - and so this video also left me with the kind reminder to myself that things take time to build and I shouldn't be hard on myself because i yearn for that but don't yet have it. Instead i am taking away the reignited vision that this is a goal of mine and to recommit to make the changes and put in the work to build towards this, little by little. So this is my long winded way of saying thank you for sharing and posting on YT. While it may appear to be a simple apartment tour video, your ever-present philosophical narrative and thoughtfulness in word choices that question the viewer to contemplate and look inwards, inspired in me this reflection for the sense of home that i also yearn to create in my life. Merci Nathaniel !

for the empty frame: you can dry little seasonal plants, a snowdrop in spring, colorful leaves in autumn etc and just use tape to put them into the frame. A bit like a season table (if you are familiar to that). Once you want a change or the season is over you can use the dried flowers etc for journaling

Wow-as an artist & an interiior designer, what a beautiful space on every level. the thing I like the best about your space is that after seeing it I feel as if I know you a little better. This is a very personal design statement, not something lifted from AD or any other shelter publication. Not something you turned over to a professional designer to do with intructions to make it look good. It is clearly personally curated by you on every level. Your space feels safe (you are trustworthy); there is a sense of priviledge to being invited to visit (but not for too long as you cherish your privacy & enjoy your own company); there is a physical relationship between your physical appearance & the physical visuals of the space (like your collection of mirrors that reflect you back to yourself).Thank you.

Dear Nathaniel, I'm going to take a few moments to write this.... I live in Colombia, near a city that nobody knows, in a town that fewer people know. My life like everyone else's has been an incessant journey of joys and pain that fortunately has not yet ended. I had not learned over the years to identify very well what I want to achieve before leaving this world: before I thought it was money but it was not, then I thought it was fame but it was not either, but it was only when I saw one of your videos that I understood what I really wanted for my life: Peace. Today I want to thank you enormously, for not only teaching me through your videos how to find myself to know what I want, but also for giving me every time I watch one of your videos (and now every time I listen to one of your podcasts) a huge and indescribable feeling of peace. You have saved my life! and I am and will be eternally grateful all my life for allowing us the privilege of entering your life, your mind and your heart every time we watch one of your videos. With my eyes full of tears and wishing you from the bottom of my heart the best for your new projects, Fer.
