Very impressed, well thought out; all those storage drawers would be very useful for two or three people on holday for a few weeks.😊

Nice. It’s a great conversation. I do like how light and simple it looks.

Hi Hugh What suits one person might not suit the next . The folding/fixed bed debate for instance . So to me it seems a tad wrong , even unfair to compliment or criticise someone else's incomplete build . Especially through the medium of video . Certain design aspects may seem questionable or at best impractical on screen . Due to camera angle , lens distortion or lighting etc . Yet in person they could be extremely plausible and the logical choice . On screen the craftsmanship and construction on the other hand look top notch. A CNC router knocks things up to the next level . Well done sir . I'm very jealous . My own personal build looks like I cut every piece of wood with the back of a spoon in a Slipknot concert mosh-pit , which was then painted by a rather drunken Jackson Pollock late one dark Saturday night . C'est la vie . I have found to my own cost that designing that "perfect van" is somewhat of an elusive dream . Congratulations to anyone who has achieved their perfect build on their first attempt . I am now on revision 4.0 of my kitchen . Which is soon to be kitchen 5.0 next summer . This has led me to the realisation that to accomplish said kitchen 5.0 I need to rip 90% of the rest of my van out to achieve this . Congratulations on the new family addition BTW . Fattrucker

thanks for sharing your side buddy! As you said, everyone has their ideas and views on what works! I must admit I think I would like to try cutting some wood with the back of a spoon in a slipknot mosh pit. Sounds like a challenge! the perfect van is very much elusive!

Sweet. I like the design. One alteration I probably would prefer is those head-high cupboards, over the bed area, be recessed / angled in, to avoid head bumps ! :D

as quite a tall person I am definitely on your side with this haha the customer did need a lot of storage though

It's certainly not short of storage! Is that an L4 van? Also, are you able to provide links to those wee windows and the sink? Thanks.
@HughTube2 жыл бұрын
its the L3H2, really like the under 6m long vans for ease of driving. cant find my receipt to the sink sorry! but windows: tradeglassuk.co.uk/product-category/universal-windows/

Love all your cubby holes! How many sheets of plywood have you used?
@HughTube2 жыл бұрын
a fantastic question and off the top of my head I reckon almost 20 but that is a massive guess. 7 ish for the walls, 5 for floor and ceiling maybe a further 10-12 for furniture maybe. This is why I tried to use poplar plywood where I could and either laminated it or painted it to not be obvious. Otherwise the weight of plywood would of been horrendous plus i went 15mm not 18mm when doing structural stuff

@@HughTube This is one of my biggest fears, plastering everything in ply and then not leaving enough headroom for my gear. That and the price of ply start adding up. Thank you for your reply!

Where is the video for the Luton van? I can't seem to find the finished product of Ben's Luton?..
