Your right. This was originally an express installation. Otis modernised the passengers in around 2009/2010. They retained the existing cars and weights on the main tower group but installed new gearless machines and controllers and made them 1:1 roped. Before that they were Express Gearless VVP's 2:1 roped. The bank of 4 with 2 scenics had new otis controllers and sassi machines fitted. The 2 staff lifts are original but had the last Express manufactured controllers fitted to them :(

LondonKilla before Otis came in to mod the passenger lifts were they DMR lifts? Sadly now the remaining old express lifts are being upgraded by shit generic

It appears that all the remaining old express lifts in the old tower have now been heavily modernised by AXIS. Even that small fire lift with original buttons (which you didn’t film in this list tour) wasn’t spared and was just replaced in 2021

any idea what happened to that apex goods lift in canary wharf that never worked i remember you telling me about it, it was in the tower and i think otis was after modernising it, all the doors were knackered.
