In the fall of 2011, the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) mission released its original Tour of the Moon, a five-minute animation that takes the viewer on a virtual tour of our nearest neighbor in space. Six years later, the tour has been recreated in eye-popping 4K resolution, using the same camera path and drawing from the vastly expanded data trove collected by LRO in the intervening years.
The tour visits a number of interesting sites chosen to illustrate a variety of lunar terrain features. Some are on the near side and are familiar to both professional and amateur observers on Earth, while others can only be seen clearly from space. Some are large and old (Orientale, South Pole-Aitken), others are smaller and younger (Tycho, Aristarchus). Constantly shadowed areas near the poles are hard to photograph but easier to measure with altimetry, while several of the Apollo landing sites, all relatively near the equator, have been imaged at resolutions as high as 25 centimeters (10 inches) per pixel.
The new tour highlights the mineral composition of the Aristarchus plateau, evidence for surface water ice in certain spots near the south pole, and the mapping of gravity in and around the Orientale basin.
The camera flies over the lunar terrain, coming in for close looks at a variety of interesting sites and some of the LRO data associated with them. Includes feature titles, research sources, and the location and scale of the image center.
Visualizer: Ernie Wright (lead)

Spectacular high resolution images with very detailed zooms! I've also read that the regolith of the lunar surface at its south pole contains some water ice, and that the Aitken Basin with its 2400 km diameter the largest remnant of any impact structure on a celestial body in our Solar System is, caused by a huge collision of a proto-planet with the proto-Moon in the far past.🌑🌒🌓🌔🌕🌖🌗🌘

Another theory about the moon is that is was brought here in the remote past, is hollow and has about 250,000,000 million residents. Having studied the surface of the Moon for many years on Google Earth Pro the latter description is a lot closer than the former.

The Moon is a small planet that is older than the Earth by almost 600 million years. The age of the Moon obtained from the U-Th-Pb chronometer is 5.13 billion years while the age of the Earth obtained using the same chronometer is 4.55 billion years. So, the Moon is dynamically active as any other planet in the solar system but is moving around the Earth after its capture by the gravity of the Earth.

There are many reasons to pick mars. Mars has an atmosphere. Not much but it does have less harsh situation to the moon. Temprature and atmostphere are key points, and atmostphere does not mean you can breath. On the moon does have a minsculen atmostphere but no where near mars and you are totally exposed to the harshness of space and the sun on the moon. So moon avantages are close to earth and no weather 😂
