I was onboard the Valley Camp September 2023 and enjoyed it immensely. The folks responsible for keeping things in good shape are doing an excellent job. Being a Navy veteran stationed on Cruiser's and Destroyer's, I find museum ships like this very interesting.

Thanks Vance! I'm glad they have this museum ship, it's very similar to the Emperor ship that wrecked at Isle Royale in 1947. That's how I first found out about it, looking up stuff to see what the boat used to look like when it was sailing...now I know.

Ya, only the Car Ferry Badger on Lake Michigan is steam powered still. Rode on her quite a few years ago, fun ride. Thanks Fred!

I like how at 18:14 they have an old analog Bearcat 210 scanner to listen to Soo traffic and other lock and river related communications.

9:31 - There is a running Kahlenberg engine like this at the Coolspring Power Museum in Pennsylvania. Very cantankerous, I'd hate to bet my life on it in a storm.
