I agree - I've been to Crete 4 times and I love it. Someone famous - I think the writer of Zorba the Greek - that Crete was a continent. I couldn't agree more.

To spend any time in Crete is to be homesick forever. It's true. Go and climb the mountain road to Zomynthos and you'll see the whole blue ocean spread out with islands below the land---pure air, pure light, pure silence.
