Paul is absolute quality. Such a good temperament and quiet coolness about him in this situation. He is a great mentor for big Will.

That was fascinating. One of the most informative playing videos that I have ever seen. This is more about how they should be thinking. I say should be, because there are examples of where they clearly haven't thought about the consequences of their shot choices.

Just paused the video to come comment. This is excellent stuff. I played St.Mellion in the summer. Off the Yellows which is still a slope of 130 and about 400 yards shorter than you guys are playing. The rough was up higher than in this video and I was rubbish, but it's a class track and it's great to see it played properly. Can really see the divergence in content from the Crossfield days. Not better, not worse but different. Your own style. Keep it up, it's a really enjoyable watch.

This is one of the very best golf Vlog videos I've ever seen (and I've seen loads of 'em). Not only is it 3 (clearly) excellent golfers, with 3 individual styles, testing themselves against one of the hardest courses I've ever played, but it also provides a really great insight into the golfing brain and in such a way as I can feel I could take some of it to the course to help my game. On top of that, excellent narration and palpable pressure leading to golfing drama have made this a comment worthy event. Great work Dan and good luck boys in your future tour school endeavors.

Just caught up with this video, really informative, we can all learn so much about the tactical approach to golf by watching these kind of vlogs, this is one I'll revisit a few times I think. St Mellion looks amazing as well, and so tight - jaysus, not for the faint hearted amateurs like me that like to occasionally waft one severely to the right ;-)

Great idea for a video. We’ve all pretended to play for the Masters or the Open, so it’s fun to watch them try to simulate something that’s actually attainable for them. Paul made a great point with course setup helping the young bombers in later stages and it makes sense to why he’s struggled to get past Tour school despite likely being a “better” player than a lot who did make it through but hit it 30+ yards by him. Frustrating I’m sure.

Was a member at the Players Club. Beast of a course off the back tips. If you can get through the first 6 holes without much of a disaster you can build a decent score. Plenty of danger 13-16

Hey Dan, can we have a video of a week in the life of a tour Pro. Do they do any specific exercises, gym routine, any training at home, what type of practice etc? Just so us armatures can see the hard work they put in and is it different between Paul and will.
@johnwilliamson81104 жыл бұрын
As per other comments excellent thanks . Paul’s putting looks nice and square , the old putter seemed to open and close a bit too much for what looked like a face balanced club . Now threatening the hole on long putts and very solid on shorter ones . New confidence in his putting!

Again a great series! I love the comments from tour Paul on both others games. If I may contribute to that I think Wilber should not have played his trusty 63 degree wedge out of that rough on the first hole. If he had played a 56/54 he would have been much closer. The 63 could never could get it to the 2 feet of the hole with the limited back swing he got there.
@brianwilliams90314 жыл бұрын
Great vid, one of your best. I’ve played St Mellion from yellow tees. Difficult tract especially for Pro’s who must sacrifice length for some accurancy, otherwise its easy to get into trouble. More of this please.
