I bet if you did a really close inspection you could find some of the workers names carved on the walls inside the tunnel.

The taking of the General and the subsequent chase occurred on April 12, 1862, the first anniversary of the firing on Fort Sumter. Was the date for the locomotive heist chosen for its psychological impact on the South?

Great job on the video. Took their time and lots of details. Will Green does a great job in all of his explanations and doesn't rush though the information. Hats off to my Irish kin for the great masonry skills. The tunnel has stood for 160 years. The slaves made the bricks and the Irishman did the work inside the tunnel. Back in the 1970's the tunnel had about 3 feet of water in it and you couldn't walk all the way through unless you wanted to get wet. Great place to visit with tons of history. Great video guys.
