Parsley, sage. rosemary and thyme" This iconic song by Simon and Garfunkle put the town on the map in the 70's, a town that once held an annual 6'week international trading festival for 500 years (13th to 18th century) and is renowned for so much more today!! Thank u for taking us there, Kirsten anf Joerg! The house is a beautiful, cozy showpiece and the town is so, well . . dramatically English-- the seascape in particular! ❤ A must-see!

Oh do you mean redecorate every month? We do get so much inspiration of all sorts even picture frames, antique furniture etc. so it doesn't always have to be something grand so we don't feel the need to redecorate all the time lol.

What a little jewel of an apartment! I love the Sitwell room the best - so calming up and cozy under the eaves. It would be such a wonderful place to come home to after a cold rainy walk home, sit with a cup of tea, read a book and revel in delicious solitude. Thank you so much for sharing it!

Hello to you both what an amazing apartment in Scarborough you certainly find some interesting interesting places at which to stay this one was decorated and furnished with wonderful taste by the people to whom it belongs. I have many memories of Scarborough having lived only 22 miles away at Malton . back in the day as a child along with my mum and dad we spent many happy hours on the beach and I used to enjoy the ride in the funicular lift which I am pleased to say is still in action! I am 90 years old now and really loved the tour of the apartment and of Scarborough thank you

Wow, what a gorgeous accommodation. The wallpapers, the lampshades, and color combinations are amazing. My favorite was Sitwell bedroom because it looks the most calming and the most romantic of them all. Also, it has the largest windows, so more light comes in. Love your morning walk. There is something about the gloomy sky, wavy sea and the Grand Hotel that reminded me of Poirot, tv show. I don't know why. Maybe it was the tough guy who went swimming in obviously cold water? 😄
