Thanks! My goal is to be thorough with the good and bad as I can because that is what I want to see if I am watching a review video.

I couldn't agree more with your goal. FYI, I was considering this apparel as my old goretex Klim aged, but I finally deleted it from the list, because I was skeptical with the ventilation effectiveness seeing all major vents are foam layered in addition to the net. I lives in whole year tropical climate. From your review, I know I made a right decision. Thanks

Pat, thanx for a honest review! I have been on a long trip throughout the whole Europe from mid August till early December in well ventilated pants, my old Adv Dainese Stormer jacket with huge foldable vents. For me before that trip cold temperature had never been an issue. If it's cold you just put base layer beforehand and a rain cover which perfectly works as a wind stopper. The issue is high temperature! If the ventilation is poor body starts to overheat you get tired, dehydrated, the attention is getting lost and you can't do nothing while riding. But after snowy mountain passes in early December I started to search for a magic all-season solution. Thanks to your video I finally understood that such suit doesn't exist. And I probably need to put rain jacket and shoes earlier. I had been lazy several times thinking that soon I was going downhill and it was going to be wormer soon....but no... and ended up frozen.

Yeah layers is key for sure, but then you have extra items to bring on a long trip. Every decision is a trade off of some kind. I was real excited about getting this because it was made by Revit and loved the look. Guess maybe I should have tried badland pro?? Mesh is by far the best on those warm summer days. i love my Klim Induction Jacket for that!! Thanks and safe travels!

Thanks for the review. Its a big shock that those pants does not have exhaust vents. I have Revit Dominator pants and was looking to buy matching jacket and thought, ok, same pants just logo is different. But no, Revit pants does have also exhaust vents so the airflow is just ok in summer but goretex pro is definitely better for colder days. Revit and now touratech clothes are a bit more heavy than Klim because of protectors. Knee protectors on my Revit pants are huge but the pants itself (without protectors) weight not much more than Klim goretex (not pro). To me it looks like that jacket is a bit too big for you, revit clothes are designed to be more snug than klim, therefore klim goretex is a bit better/wider for warmer days. I tried connecting pants to jacket and its really good option. Also when you use integrated kidney belt it kind of stabilize jacket on body and it fits best. Just my 2 cents :) Campanero Pro got more vents on jacket and pants but the price is ridiculous :)

I always get the jacket 1 size up for layering in the cold. Over all it is quality gear but I expected more. I have since bought the Klim Induction pant to go with my induction jacket! Great for those hot days! I will keep wearing my Touratech gear in the colder days for sure! Cost way too much to just get rid of lol!! Thanks for the great comment!! I really do appreciate them a lot!

I have this suit, same problem with the zipper.where and how did you get this fixed?
@PatsAdventuresTravels11 ай бұрын
I had a local seamstress put a new water proof zipper in it. The new zipper is a lot like the inner zipper. Works great now. She said it was the hardest replacement she's ever done but it looks factory.

@@jonrg6220 Very welcome. It wasn't very expensive. It was about 50 bucks to have the zipper replaced. Just make sure to ask for a water proof zipper. People not in the bike world sometimes don't realize that.

Hey Pat great review. As a new adventure rider, not new rider just never did long adventuring before, what suit would you look into now? Mostly want cold weather suit for these ohio springs and fall.
@PatsAdventuresTravels Жыл бұрын
I would try the msr that Rocky Mountain adv sells. Reviews look good and price seems too good. Or go back to klim
