This home is absolutely stunning! I love single story houses so this ranks at the top of my list as my all time favorite on this channel. I love the intentionality of this home and if I literally had the wealth to acquire this property, I would do so in a heartbeat. Btw, I love how you took your time to talk about the unique wood work from Japan that is incorporated in the master bedroom. The only think I would change is the furniture...they look so low and close to the ground. I come from a tall family :)

This is the most awesome home I've seen you show for sure! Love the open feel with all the spacious windows. It's amazing and rare to find a large property in Malibu that sits on completely flat land, with a large grass area, and a large swimming pool that doesn't take up the whole backyard. A lot of times with large mansions in Malibu they're hanging off a cliff side, built very close to other properties, and they have almost no yard if any yard space at all. But it's nice to see that this property has more than enough space inside and out.

This property is amazing! You can definitely tell how much planning and money was put into the landscaping. I love how open the interior is, I love to see the use of board form concrete and the minimalism with the furniture. Everything works well together and is not "in your face" (which some people like, but I prefer the simpler interior design). The water vapor fire feature is such a great idea and looks just as beautiful as real fire. The fact that this house is zero carbon certified is just cherry on top! Quick question - is the pool having saltwater also part of the zero carbon effort? It's not something we see often in properties such as this, so it stood out to me in the video. As always, great job team! The b-rolls were beautiful as usual and yours and Mikey's chatting chemistry is making the videos very enjoyable compared to other KZbin hours tours!

From the inside of the great room, the outdoors' view looks like a built-in domestic orangery, which creates a totally different vibe compared to the usual modern design. Plus that green side looks way bigger from the inside of the house, which, in reality, is not that massive.

Quite a nice home. Mostly wheelchair accessible too. I'd want to build a small apiary shack in back. I also love that the back area isn't wasted and IS private. To that end, a bit of sight blocking artwork would be nice at the entry. 16:20- I want to put an outdoor shower on every bathroom/bedroom patio, the gym patio, and three for the pool behind the outdoor fireplace! 16:48- Lovely! The Zender positive pressure system will let you open every window-wall and still have low dust entry. A bonus is how it politely pushes flying insects away. (Read the reviews) 25:29- Yep. An outdoor shower would tuck neatly behind that little tree on a small grate with vertical planks around it.

I really love the whole concept of this home. I like this semi naturel look of the garden, looking a bit like a humid forest with a touch of tropic. The patio is gorgeous. I love the "fire places" and the kitchen is pure perfection. 🙂 Lots of taste everywhere and I love the space feeling and the "forest getting inside". Josh would just really have to prove that he is the best, 🤔 and I hope that if he is not, the system would allow to switch to something different or communicate with another one smarter, without to have to rebuild the whole place. 😁

The best house that I have seen in this channel. As people get older, they need this kind of space to enjoy a better quality of life. One story house, check; plenty of outdoors and gardening, check; beauty and convenience, check; perfect to receive visits, check. I can see myself leaving with both my parents and grandparents in this house with a couple of dogs and cats and having big family gatherings. The junior suite can serve as the guest room and I dont see anyone complaining about it. Even after a late evening partying like a rock star, I can sneak quietly into the screening room and have an after party there, lol. Did I also mention the technology, the integration of nature and the zero carbon footprint? This is a dream house!

I am always amazed at the wide open indoor openings to the outdoors in many of these homes. Do they not have bugs, insects, rodents and birds in California? Do people really leave the sliders open? If I did that here on the east coast I would have a crowded indoor wildlife sanctuary.

we don't really have much of a bug problem in California.

It's rarely humid so bugs are not a major issue. Somehow closer to the ocean this is more true. Birds--could be an issue, but somehow remains rare. Other critters less likely. Coyotes have been known to be an issue but only dangerous to small animals like dogs and cats. Still they are usually well controlled when they are observed in any area of southern California. Bears are an issue close to the mountains away from the coast. But close to the coast not so much.

love this episode guys, my favoirite part is the garden and outdoor seating. would like to see another way out there other than thru a work space, but that's okay!
