I loved the modern upgrades in this home. It was reminiscent of the home in which I grew up, except the exterior of our English Tudor was all stone, and we had a 3rd floor. We had 7 bedrooms and a Sun Room/Nursery, 5 Bathrooms, a laundry shute which led to the Laundry Room and Finished Basement. Outside, we had an authentic English Garden, Olympic sized Pool, and a Carriage House/Garage. Had we not moved to be closer to the Ocean, I would have wanted to bring this turn of the Century home into the 21st Century by using many of the modern upgrades that were featured in this showing. Bravo to the designer, and kudos to you for showing it so well!

Great property in central LA, Hancock Park is a great neighborhood. Lot's of celebrities live there. Brick homes are unique and very strong. I've seen some nice brick houses in Santa Barbara.

I didn't know homes out here had basements. We have them out East, but never seen them here. 16:19 that is a HUGE step into that shower. ONLY Enes can take a boring driveway and make it a talking point :)

Those details on the outside walls are used on older English homes to stop the walls from buckling outwards, usually they go right through to another external wall or significant internal structure. Also in the kitchen I would of personally used a British AGA oven or a more user friendly but still British Falcon instead of a Italian made oven. Awesome videos by the way 👍

Contrasting aC vents is a design error. It not only goes against the basic rule of form follows function, but they simply stick out like a soar thumb with nothing to see. Love the car port, and while I am not a fan of the house, that front classic look is very nice. Also, the fridge being out of the overall kitchen site is a major plus in a number of ways. They win back some form follows function points, and it frees up lots of space for other things.

@Mars … I know what you mean, Mars! I wasn’t sure about this home (I like the 9’ and 10’ ceilings of newer subdivisions) but this residence is really warm and quite lovely. I love the latticed wall by the pool, the use of marble everywhere is gorgeous, the kitchen is one of my favorites and the guest house is a bonus. I think the price is extremely fair.
