My favourite thing about the CB650R is that excellent sounding inline 4. Those things are getting rarerer.

13:00 The sign for "No entry" (red ring on white BG) had another sign below it (which is generally used for tightening/relaxing the sign above) which said "Anlieger bis Baustelle frei" == "residents free until construction site". But if you're foreign and/or can't read the additional signs it's a safe bet to just follow the instruction of the normal sign on top, in this case "No entry (for all vehicles)". Anyway, nice that this is finally getting released, I saw the original episode a long while back and always wanted to watch the continuation.

Brilliant. Long overdue! I remember when you released the first episode I still hadn't passed my test and was considering a CB650R after passing which means it's got to be well over a couple of years ago. Your comments on the lack of comfort was one of the reasons I didn't buy one in the end. Still a lovely looking bike though and I've always fancied one as a second bike.

You're right about the seat and knee bend - basically my only complaints with the bike. And the knee thing is more of a me thing. Younger riders probably won't notice.

As an OCD completer/finisher can I just say how stressed out I was when you (for the reasons mentioned previously) could not continue with the uploads for this tour. I am now very happy and de-stressed that this is moving on again! looking forward to the next one Dan!

I moved to Germany after a year's riding in .au. It was disconcerting negotiating roundabouts the wrong way round, and Autobahns two up on a CB400N were challenging. But we lived. I'm glad that you had such a great time.

I'm loving this - I forgot how nice the Eifel region is. Might need to go and make some crossplane noise in that part of the world this year

I went on my CB650R from Dartford to Germany, twice to the Mosel region - Cochem/Koblenz/ Nurburgring etc. Have to agree with everything you said. I'm 6'2" and after the second trip, I had to get a bigger bike, as it was exhausting getting there and back, but it is perfect for the roads when you get there. Going back again in June on my NT1100, its not the most exciting bike, but at least I can get there in comfort!
@Englishbikerdan9 ай бұрын
Yeah I can only imagine what it was like for someone taller. Ouch! I hope you enjoy the trip on your NT1100, definitely more comfortable! Cheers! Dan

Hi, I consider buying CB 650R but I’m 5’10’’ and now ride CB125R that gave me a massive lower back pain on 4hrs trip When I ride in the city there’s no issue but sitting in the same position for 1h makes it painful. After reading your comment I started to have doubts as CB650R is not much bigger than CB125R Don’t you have lower back pain on your current bike?

what is the emotional excitement level when you compare this bike to all the other bikes you have riden? Is this bike on the top? I like the 2024 model and wanted your opinion.

That's too broad a question, and very subjective. It's a good bike in it's class.

Hey really been enjoying your touring videos. Do you feel a big difference with the wind shield ? I'm hesitating between the CB and the CBR but I'm afraid that the ergo on the CBR can be tiring after longer rides
@EnesErgin-j1b23 күн бұрын
A bit late I presume but there's some pretty tall windshields for CB650R which apparently work pretty well. I'd buy a windshield which I would put on, on longer rides. Personally think the CB is a better buy for most people, unless you are very interested in a sports bike look.

Thanks for sharing! This video has been on the waiting list for "a decade" now! Good to see you had a fun boys trip. You mentioned that the stock seat was not the most comfortable on long trips. How is the comfort for a pillion on the CB650R?

I was getting about 120 miles on a tank. The standard seat (06 model) isn't great for touring and we were stopping after about an hour of riding, which was needed otherwise numb bum. Kinda expected - it's a naked after all. I fitted the Puig touring screen, which made the motorway bits a bit more bearable, but it did make the front end feel really light over 100mph 😂
