We head a bit further up to The Green Frog at Moffat, Scotland we stay here for the night while we wait for the oil change to be done on our campervan Snibb. The Green Frog is a very budget friendly campsite with the cost of living being so high at the moment, we try and mix things up a bit with cheaper sites, CL's wild camps. Filmed in July of 2023, we leave home with no plan on where we are going, watch the rest of the series to follow our travels on this epic adventure full of ups and downs. This campervan allows us the freedom of travelling in all seasons, we actually do most of our travelling in the Autumn/Winter as I have lupus disease | SLE | We stay on campsites & caravan touring parks, Aires & wild camp out in nature. We like to walk | hike with our cocker spaniel dog "Charlie" taking in breathtaking scenery of the countryside and the coast. There is something so magical about driving through the mountains and tourist areas in a campervan. Buying local produce to take back and cook in the campervan, or stopping at an independent shop for coffee and cake helping to support the local economy. Excellent video again Em. Great site for the price. The cheapest site we use in the Yorkshire Dales doesn't have EHU, but does have fresh water and an Elsan point for £10/night. The site is also on the river bank which is ideal for kids as it's shallow.and a lovely village with 3 pubs for the adults. Keep 'Em' coming guys 😁

Fascinating that Green Frog. Right next to the Club site and a third of the price. It’s what we are going to do a lot of. Isn’t Scotland just beautiful. So many places to see. I’m the same as Gary. It’s a decent stopover site tbf, I think the aire bit without EHU was £10. There’s definitely savings to be made, although I do like a club site too & Moffat is one of my faves 🤭 Not long for your van now 👌 Yes Scotland never disappoints 😎 Thanks, Em 💜

Yes, it’s definitely a good price especially compared to the high season prices next door ☺️ We will still use next door in the winter though, it’s much cheaper then and has the benefit of the laundry etc. We are ok thank you, Charlie’s much better now, thanks for asking. Great reasonable cost for ehu - I love Moffat it has a great feel - we used to stop regular when we travelled to customers at Edinburgh it was a stop off for a curry I couldn’t spend 40 it would hurt me 😂 Thanks for sharing

We will have to test this place. We have always liked the C&CC site at Moffat but it gets ever more expensive plus the minmum nights policy and the bossy nature of some of the wardens has made it less attractive. If you're ever heading towards Edinburgh or the east coast from Moffat, treat yourself, forget using the motorway and take the A701 through the Devil's Beeftub. The road is quiet, the views are superb and you could get a 10 or 15 minute video out of telling the tale of the Scottish cattle rustlers.

Hi Tony, the Moffat ccc is one of my favourite sites tbh, but in the high season, it’s pricey & no good for a quick one nighter. We will still use it during the winter though when the price is much much lower 😁 It’s good to have a choice of two 😁 I’ve heard of the Beeftub, I think we may have travelled that road in the car to our daughters place in Edinburgh some years ago. @@vansforthememories I'm chomping at the bit to head north of the border again but I've got to fully recover from shingles first. If it wasn't for being ill we would have gone as soon as the schools went back. We'll definitely be doing the devil's beeftub route again, it take us almost directly (apart from a diversion for a low bridge) to where our bridesmaid from 40 years ago is now living and her drive is a nice free overnight park up.
