Nice. Anxious to see your long(er)-term review of the ride quality after the Bushings. For similar reasons, I did the Spherical Bearing/Bushing Upgrade on my '99 Road King using parts from Custom Cycle Engineering. Obviously it's a different frame than your '17...but I think it made a pretty big difference. My upgrade was done around the same time I did a Frame Stabilizer - so I cannot recall what made the bigger improvement. I'd also like to know what caused the cable in your bag to snap? Binding? Pulling too hard on the lever while the bag was locked? I have a set of the 'newer' bags that I will be putting on my 2004 Ultra Classic and was looking at them over the weekend to see how difficult they'll be to disassemble for paint - and I noticed that the cable is permanently fixed to the 'lock plate'. I was planning to just remove that nut from the lock and remove the plate (like you did)...but I also wondered if that 'rivet' holding the cable could be drilled & replaced with a small nut/bolt. Dunno. Anyway. Good video. Ride safe.

Will definitely be following up on these stab's. Hope they resolve my issue. As for the Cable, root cause is im a dummy. lol. I was comparing the lids from the factory to my TCMT bags and liked how the speakers fit better on the factory lids. So swapped them over but wanted to keep the locks and I had to drill out the rivet that was in-place. Well during that whole process, I kept flexing that termination and it finally just broke. Its pretty soft, guessing its lead. Im probably going to replace the same parts on my King because i stressed them pretty good as well. Dont want them to break on me while locked.
