I graduated from the Business School in 1991. It was called the College of Business back then. It was a newly constructed building, so i think it will be renovated soon. It was like stepping back in time when i visited last year.....

That’s super cool! It was a great business school and so centrally located on campus, I could definitely see myself there.

My Daughter and Lawyer husband live in Austin, I tell my son in law he has an addiction, Longhorn Sports. He was at that game when Vince made that touchdown and a large picture of that game decorates his law office!

Of course, another big reason Texas is able to do these things is that the school makes $6 million per DAY from the oilfields they lease out in the Permian Basin, according to a report in 2023 from KENS Channel 5 in San Antonio and a 2023 article from Bloomberg, which also states Texas could soon surpass Harvard as the richest university in America.

Offensive football lineman getting paid 50k and nils. Can you imagine what the qb is getting. Colleges have earned millions and millions off athletes.

Kyle..did you reach out UT before you went to Texas? I can't imagine them not being psyched to have you show their facilities to so many swimmers. Thanks for trying... looked awesome!
@KyleMillis2 жыл бұрын
It’s tough to let non student athletes in these facilities, just from a liability prospective.

Well if you’re up for it, I’d love to get a tour around the football stadium… Let me know if possible! Feel free to reach out on IG to set something up. Congrats on the great job! 🤠

@@KyleMillis Make sure they show you the Tanc as well. All the athletic programs share some facilities inside the football stadium. (My son is a Freshman swimmer for UT) Interesting anecdote, the underclassmen are given the normal dorms on the swim team. Eddie figures they will be sleeping in those rooms and not much else so, no need for the fancy dorms. As an aside, I wish college dorms were not so extravagant. Some are simply outlandish and, I fear, will set up some of the students to feel disappointed/entitled when they graduate.

Just to be clear the financial stipend Texas pays each athlete has nothing to do with the NIL program. Colleges are now allowed to give athletes a cash stipend to cover living, travel or other expenses. It is a part of the scholarship package. Schools are not allowed to directly arrange or pay students for NIL deals. I enjoy most of your videos but this one was just plain awful.
