Maybe I should stop comparing Kenyan house prices and amenities to the prices in Florida. The last time that I visited a friend's construction site in Runda, he had built a huge underground water tank. You can't have water 24/7,365 days in Kenya unless you plan for it. Constant electricity is a problem too. The last time that I checked, a good ''whole-house'' generator was $20,000.SECURITY is my biggest worry in Kenya, Runda has 24/7 private security from what I recall. How is it that these factors don't lead to lower house prices in Kenya? I will answer my own question. 😎I guess the reason is that these houses are scarce and are targeted to a tiny elite in Kenya.

@@sammykiarii9572 1.)When I was in Kenya about two years ago, my mum would experience blackouts at her house in Karen. Drinking water has always been a problem there so people dig boreholes for washing water. They drive to Nairobi with mutungis to find drinking water(borehole water is too salty to drink). 2.)About the same time, I stayed at an apartment complex in Kileleshwa which had a huge generator so I never experienced blackouts. The water at these apartments was sometimes so awful and salty that I suspected it was delivered from a tanker from someone's borehole elsewhere.

Maybe you can consider putting the master bedroom on the first floor and all other bedrooms on the second floor. As we age climbing stairs become a problem.
