Touring Wedding Venues in Italy | How we picked ours | Wedding series | Sanne Vloet
Hi my lovely friends!
It's happening , your girl is getting MARRIED!!!! Can you believe it !?
During our summer trip in Italy, Max and I started to look for wedding venues ( it's crazy how far in advance you need to book this by the way) and honestly it was not easy.
I wish there was an existing handbook where everything around a wedding is explained. I have only visited a handful weddings myself so I am not super prepared of what to look for haha. During my trip I learned a lot and thats why I wanted to take you with on my journey!
Maybe this video can be helpful if you are looking for venues yourself or if you are just as excited as I am and just want the peak with!

I ended up being very diy with my wedding. I had worked for a floral supplier so I knew what I wanted for flowers and was able to get them wholesale from the warehouse, which saved me thousands, and I ended up making my own cake because I couldn't find any bakery in my area who would do a tiered cheesecake, so I made it myself and decorated it with flowers and raspberries in the basement of my venue the morning of our ceremony! Don't be afraid to do something yourself if you know you are good at it!

I think it's SO IMPORTANT to discuss costs of these types of places - especially as I am planning my own wedding right now. There are some people who see these dream venues and later when they realize they cannot afford them it must be so depressing (or worse, they go into debt to be able to get them because it's been a dream for so long). The wedding industry preys on that type of behavior, but no couple should start off their marriage in debt if they are privileged enough to avoid it. That first venue truly looked like it would cost about $160,000 to do it full out (pinterest goals style). I loved the last two venues, and I think the one you picked is truly the best one! Can't wait to see wedding content as things progress for you guys. : )

I love your videos and that you are sharing this experience with us. I'm having my wedding in two weeks in Portugal! So much cheaper than in the US and since my husband is from England, it's closer for his family to travel and mines have always wanted to visit Europe. All I can say is have lots of patience! My wedding list started as 92 guests but dwindled down to 45, because life happens!
