I love that you included your son. I hope you take him camping with you. Are you going to make a video of setting up your tractor collection?

I bought a similar design 3person tent aprox 30yrs ago in Sterns Ky, where they manufactored tents, only difference mine has a one pole rain fly which creates 2 small vestibules and great ventilation, great tent for car camping, too heavy for backpacking,it has held up very well and looks good and iv used the heck out of it! Think it was called 60second tent back then!😂👍🏼

Hi! Looks nice those tents. How it behaves in rainy days? Had you already tried when it’s raining? Thanks for the review!

I’ve not yet had a chance to test it. I need to work on that still

I have a 1-2 and a 2-3 tent, both made by Reactive Outdoor and have not had any problems with them. Was just wondering why it took you so long to put them up as the instructions are more than easy to follow.

I bought a small size, the workmanship is excellent and a lot of thought went into the design, BUT the top is slightly concave (check out some vids and pics) and rainwater could puddle there because the small top cover is too small to cover the whole of the concave top. That's easy to solve by simply making our own larger cover from a spare bit of tent fabric, but i thought i'd mention it. Also, be aware the small size tent weighs a hefty 6 pounds which is a bit heavy for backpacking on foot or bicycle, so I think a motorbike or vehicle is needed. Suggestion to the tentmakers- bring out a 1-person version to cut down the weight.

Have you had leaks in the rain??
@tungstenkid22712 ай бұрын
@@mahreis17 I haven't tried mine in the rain yet, but somebody in another video says it leaks bad, but we've only got his word for it. Even if he's correct he should prove it by posting another vid zeroing in on the exact spots where he claims water is coming in..:) PS- anyway I routinely throw a big lightweight camo tarp over ALL my tents as insurance against any water that tries to get in, no big deal..:)

Doesnt seem to matter who makes a tent...a 1-3 person tent = 1 person...4 person tent = 2...etc!!!😂....looks like a decent built tent!...thanks for sharing...stay safe out there!😎👍🤙👍🤙🇨🇦

been watching these for the last few years. definitely interested to see if either will fit on the bike. I also try and fit in the saddle bags if possible. looking forward to the follow up.
@Touringmidwest5 ай бұрын
Definitely, I will see how they fit soon.. pretty bummed about how short the small one is, I think if either of them would fit on the bike that’d be the one but if your close to 6ft it’s pretty short. The website shows it to be 79 inches long but when I laid down in it I was touching the walls with my head and feet and I am 5 ft 11.5 in so I’m just not sure yet.
@tungstenkid22714 ай бұрын
The 3-secs small size weighs 6 lbs and would definitely make your spokes twang or pop under the weight, and your knee joints pop if backpacking on foot; so maybe they should think about bring out a smaller lighter 1-person size.
@charlesshepard8074 ай бұрын
Id be using it on motorcycle so the weight isn't so scary. its the length when broken down and whether or not it would fit in the saddle bags or tour pack.
@christopherwanamaker8282 ай бұрын
If this tent doesn't work for you for your motorcycle, I would suggest looking into the Catoma Outdoors IBNS Cots Spring Loaded Pop-up Tent that can be attached to the bed of a Military Cot or there Raiders Tent with Rain-Fly. I'm interested to find out your review use of the tent because some people tested it out in the rain and loved it and some found water inside on the floor the next morning, so there are some mixed reviews on whether or not these are good tents and worth the money or not? I've also seen a new advertisement from Reactive Outdoor on a newer much larger tent were the back door opens up to connect to a hatchback vertical trunk opening from a SUV vehicle. I'm curious about there vehicle connecting tent as well?
@Touringmidwest2 ай бұрын
Yeah they have a few different options for tents. I was really impressed with the tents in the rain.. both of mine held up surprisingly well and stayed completely dry in heavy rain which I had serious doubts that they’d be dry but both of them were bone dry inside after a week with rain nearly everyday. I still need to get a video together regarding that test. I will have some updates, life has just gotten incredibly busy so I’ve had to take some time off from videos until I can get a handle on things and make time to record and edit.

How would you use the groundsheet in this setup?
@Touringmidwest21 күн бұрын
It just lays under the tent and gets staked down with it. Helps protect the floor of the tent. Not sure if that is what you are asking about or not.
@Greg_M15 ай бұрын
Thanks for posting the video. I'm always curious about easy-setup tents. But, 3 seconds? Even their website demos can't get it done in under a minute. And at 8lbs. Good for car camping perhaps. Thanks again.

It is easy once you figure out how it works but yeah there’s no way it’s 3seconds especially including unpacking and packing back up.

That is not good.. so far these have held up great in the rain.. actually way better than I expected but it’s good to here what others are experiencing so I can give fair reviews when I make another video about these.

From all the comment's I've read, it's an earlier model that has a problem with water proofing. The tent you get when you buy now is an improved model - nobody who's bought the tent more recently has had any problems with rain.
