I had this happen when my dog was a puppy. We live in a tourist city. I have an English Springer Spaniel. Very excited and hyper dogs, especially when they are puppies. She was in her land shark phase and getting used to going out for walks. Purposely walked her to the cathedral and castle, to get her used to crowds. A couple of Japanese girls ran up to us, phones out, giggling very loudly, attempting to take a selfie with my puppy. Then they got too close and my puppy got hold of her scarf. I didn't apologise, because they didn't even ask me if they could take a photo of my puppy. I got the scarf off her and gave it back. But she was looking upset by it. I just shrugged and said, she is a Springer spaniel puppy. 😂

The woman seemed to ramp up the drama when more people came over to see. Slowest faint I’ve ever seen. She stood there, then crouched down and then “fainted” Usually if you feel faint you get no warning. She had time to talk to people and get down close to the ground. Then fainted? A horse is not an object or a prop. Acknowledge him as living, sensitive being. Ask his permission to approach by lowering your head slightly. If he is receptive he will lower his head and/ or his ears will be forward. If his ears are back and/ or if he raises his head, stay away.

I had horses from the time I was a baby, bit, kicked thrown off,stepped on many times. Split my head wide open at 9yo getting thrown with my foot stuck in the stirrup, flipped upside down and hit the steel post on the diesel tank with my head, I barely cried.

It's clear to see that poor horse was not happy & already tried to warn off her friends before her that thought it was a big joke. I like this rider. He gives the horse lots of rein to do what he wants. So many keep a short rein and pressure on the bit. This guard just let the horse 'assert his boundaries' . No pulling him back or yanking to prevent biting. Wonderful to see. I am wondering if anyone got a good look at the bite?

As for her follow-up drama, every horse owner will be rolling their eyes. They've all been there, had those bites. That said, the feeling faint is probably real, not an act. That can happen a few minutes after a shock like that, and for her, it was a shock. It happened to me once after I managed to slice part of my fingertip off. It was a shock, but I thought I was "okay", set about dealing with it, then suddenly slid down to the floor. Surprised the heck out of me. Yep, Buska, you are going straight to hell for laughing. You'll have to get in line, though.
