Tourist killed by charging elephant in Zambian National Park safari attack

An 80-year-old American woman has been killed while on safari in Zambia after an elephant charged at her car and flipped it over several times.
She was part of a group of six tourists staying at the luxurious Lufupa Camp in the country’s Kafue National Park, the largest game reserve in Africa, with a tour company called Wilderness - Zambia.
The group were out on a photography tour last weekend when the incident happened.

First off, it's the time of year for male elephant's to go into what's called musth, and they become full of testosterone... basically similar to a male deer rutting during the autumn months. Secondly they clearly said there was bushes blocking the road, so there was no escape!! And don't say a human can outrun an elephant cause it can't!

No it’s spiritual Elephants never forget! This is my home country, I have relatives who work in elephant sanctuary, they don’t harm unless threatened. @@annsmith7207 But the elephants wasn't chasing the people, it was chasing the large van/vehicle, which he probably mistook for another bull elephant challenging him. The elephant had no interest in the people inside the vehicle, they were not a threat to it. If they had abandoned the vehicle, the elephant would have attacked the vehicle, lost interest, and then would have left.
