Hi Mr Vision, just as we saw with last year's NFT craze, it's not the form that's the issue but the circumstances in which the form is contained. AI art is interesting by itself, and worthy of discussion regarding where, how, and why it draws its inspiration from, but when capital uses code to replicate the approximation of an artist's work in order to avoid paying that artist, now we have a problem.

Why is that a problem? Is it wrong to hire a cheaper artist to copy a more expensive artist's artstyle? No, right? Then why would it be an issue to get a machine to copy an artist's style? Sure, artists will make less money, but coal miners also struggled to get paid when electricity came around. Does that mean it was a mistake to make the transition?

@@spacesandshark2418 The issue, dear friend, is that artists are not valued only for their individual creations, but for the years of labor and study they endured to develop the skills necessary to create their creations. If an artist spends a decade forging their own recognizable art style, and then is replaced by an automaton which has been asked specifically to copy the work of our artist, we can see clearly that the artist has been wronged.
