38:61 that’s regular charcoal that we use in cooking and grilling. Some people don’t have burner stoves or induction stoves so this is what they use to cook rice and food. Some people also put it inside their fridge to purify the smell. Hope it helps☺️

I'm a Davao native, but the first time I ate it as a kid,, I'm sorry for the word, I puked. However, it got better everytime I ate it. Fast forward to now, it's my favorite fruit! It's a bit expensive now since it is not Durian season. But if it's around March or August (I hope I'm right.), a kilo is just a dollar! I remember what my friend said about it, it's like alcohol, you'll never like the first taste! haha

You Should Try the CAIMITO fruit or STAR APPLE green and purple color.... It is in season this summer.... The brown coconut is old or dry coconut that has thick meat and are shaved and squeezed to get the coconut milk...🥥🥥🥥 The green is fresh coconut or Buco.....thin meat and sweet water.

⭐️ that was a so-so okay durian. Brighter orange meat is usually better. As for coconut, you’re mostly right, Shelbs. To us, they’re still different. If fact, they’re called different: BUKO is a young coconut. Usually for drinking; the meat is used in buko pie or salads. Or eaten by itself. NIYOG is an old coconut. Usually the most mature (even ones that fall from the tree). The meat is tough and hardy. Grated, we milk them by pressing. The juice is then called GATA. Normally for cooking, like Bicol Express. When the dish says GInaTAang “something” that means it’s GATA-based (can you see GATA in Ginataan?). It literally means “coconut cream added.” TIP: Green young BUKO picked directly the tree and served immediately is the SWEETEST.

It’s awesome that you thank people in Tagalog💪🏼 most foreigners will speak in Tagalog and then at the end will say, “thank you” and I’m like, you went that far, why not end it properly? To me, thanking them in Tagalog is very respectful……especially using the word, “Po”🙏🏼 Mangosteens are awesome…..Cristina from, “Livin La Vida Tagalog” got me into it……do you know how difficult it is to find mangosteen in Canada😓, very difficult. Enjoy them as much as you can while you’re in the Philippines, they’re very addictive😍 BTW, it’s like eBay but ooowww-bay😉 May I suggest photocopying a bunch of business cards on 1 sheet of paper with your KZbin Chanel name on it. Make more copies, cut them out and hand them out……think of them as miniature flyers. Not only is it a more inexpensive way of make business cards but it’s easier to carry and less bulky than regular business cards. Take advantage of this opportunity since your interacting with many people that speak English and is wanting to help expand your subscriber list💪🏼 Since you guys are thoughtful enough to create a long video, I thought that I’d reciprocate by writing a book of my thoughts for today😂😂😂

The variety in thailand prolly is called monthong. Davao also has a variety called montong but it's blunt and tasteless, no ones plating that variety. I don't think it's the same variety though with the ones in thailand, they prolly just have the same name. In davao, variety to try would be arancillo, duyaya, kob/cob, d101, native. Puyat is good too but has a slight bitter after taste.
