Man you really played to the Empire's strengths, here. Working with their rock paper scissors style of play, exercising battlefield control and good tactics/positioning, and generally managing the flow of the battle to perfection. Fantastic game.

Turin is hands down, the best tactical commander I've ever seen play. He doesn't always win but hes always competitive because he can assess the situation at a moments notice and do what it takes to win. He would have been a great officer in the Empire.

Pendulum really seems to suck these days. I'm not sure if Hadres' build was ineffective or Turin just did a great job defending his important assets (wagons, grenades & hellblaster) from the screamers. Did feel like he needed some more manoeuvrability or a soul grinder or something.

I know you have tried making them work since forever, but I still don't think the deathjacks are worth it. For 100 gold extra you get huntsmen with far superior range, woodsman, more ammo, anti large bonus, better AP values and fire while moving. The snipe is wasted on the deathjacks because of their inferior range.

I'm not against the Empire having the unit. I'm against these blocky, trundling carriages on their tiny wooden wheels being able to take so much punishment and being able to turn on the spot and zip away like they were some sort of Glade Riders. They absolutely melted Kairos and there wasn't a thing he could do about it.

Love your Empire bat reps. My main Warhammer Fantasy 8th edition table top opponent is plays Empire so you will need an engineer to go with your Hellblaster volley gun. Otherwise they are only BS3 (hitting on 4s) . And they are short range (24") so are vulnerable to archers. As 6s always wound.

To be fair they didn't get their value here because Hadres focused them, it allowed his shooting to carry the game. If he just brought state troopers the tzangors and forsaken would have had a field day.
