Seriously now? The only thing I can say is THANK YOU for sharing this. It's a real xmas gift to the community, especially when 2 masterminds have so so so constructive arguments.

The topic discussed in the first few minutes is very important. If you FT a tournament, you have effectively done well. Being/feeling resentful or negative after doing well confuses the subconscious. As Ben said; you need to Zen-master that other voice in your head, the more reasonable, agreable one, and feel blessed to be alive doing something that stimulates you. Then carry that positive mindset into some more learning/study. Trust me. I have been the monkey-tilter, the resentful negative one, and Oh, what a joy it is to move past the point of caring what the results are. It is liberation. GLA

It's interesting because it validates some play that is typically considered old school/bad--like limping T8s, J9s, 76s type hands and raising 4x or 5x pre in certain spots depending on the composition of the table and strength of your hand.

1:17:02 ben is talking about a raise here, but when you do and you get called. do you keep betting on a turn like that? when do you check it and what can you continue betting on?

if you buy RYE Apprentice class do you just pay the remaining $500 to upgrade to masterclass?

When Is masterclass tournament going on sale?
@greedmarks74786 жыл бұрын
I noticed very interesting thing (probably easy to catch for pros here). Good +ev players usually think the way like in "22:00" so they focus on what they block etc. instead of 'sht my opponent can have set of 5 here, or overpair' and so on, what is a common mistake of recreational players to live in fear. Thanks for helping me to clear this out a bit I will pay more attention to this kind thinking about hands.
@RUNRANRUNIT6 жыл бұрын
Lex, why aren’t you using a hud? I have a hard time finding a reasoning for that as we all try to maximise our edge in every detail and not using a hud while most of the regs are, it makes you miss out for sure
@spiroskakkos34556 жыл бұрын
He labels everyone!!! So he knows the stats of each player from the labels ;)
@RUNRANRUNIT6 жыл бұрын
Spiros K yeah I’m aware but that is two totally separate things. Also, labels do not provide stats.
@losyart6 жыл бұрын
For me Hud is misleading different people play at different stack sizes or different in Bounty Builders Progressive KOs all is enough for me is paying attention on showdown when i play 8 plus tournaments it could be useful to have more time on low stakes tournaments so i can review hand history live at the table and see what my oponent played here and today not month ago
@spiroskakkos34556 жыл бұрын
@@RUNRANRUNIT This is what I am telling you... HE (not everyone) knows the stats from from the labels as he knows what kind of ranges they use according how he groups them.
@RUNRANRUNIT6 жыл бұрын
@@spiroskakkos3455 Spiros, no he does not, labels can only provide a basic idea of what can be expected( e.i reg/rec, nit/overaggro and so on) and you can for sure note some specific plays and spots but it does not provide even close amount of information as hud does. Thus, my question why not to use one.

Why doesn't Lex play with a Hud? And is it not -EV for him? Does he only play 2-3 table at a time? I imagine just a basic VPIP/PFR/3B would enhance his results tremendously
