To me, Tove Lo is talking to herself in this video. The deeper she got in that love, the more she lost herself. Travelling & talking represents the freedom of being by yourself and the life experiences you might have, this feeling of liberation. I just dealt with an intense emotionally abusive experience. He'd gaslight me, accuse me for doing to him what he had been doing/saying to me, denied doing and saying those things and would spin situations on me to make me feel guilty when he didn't want to own up to his personal issues. I'd been in a car accident recently and he blamed me for my trauma, telling me it was adding to his issues. Every relationship I've had was intense and manipulative and emotionally abusive. This has been the first day I've finally been able to let it go and feel like I can find better. I can tell I need to work on myself following the abuse, but it feels simultaneously freeing. I'm looking forward to healing and this song came at the perfect time. Thank you.
