Another incredible video. Funny, was brought up catholic, drifted away in my teens. I studied a non denominational Bible course online. Completed equivalent of 20 years (82 books), still couldn’t bring myself to joining a church! So I decided to see what the Jews had to say about their Old Testament. Found your videos and you have explained every problem I have had trying to accept Christian teachings. I ordered your books to learn more. I have to say I feel deeply ashamed having been blind enough to be a part of a religion that has caused so much grief for God’s chosen people. Thanks so much for your outreach work.

I grew up in a fractured Catholic background. I will, too, tell the story of my relationship to Christianity one of these days. It is full of shame, confusion, and anger. As well as Paganism. One day, on a deep dive, I learned my fathers line is Seed of Israel and forced converts. Our surname is a given occupational name. I wanted to learn about this heritage stolen from us, and then I got into the spirituality of it through the Chabad boys and the Tenakh. The combined feelings of guilt, intrigue, duty, and desire for Hashem led me to repent of Idolatry and start embracing Orthodox Judaism and its teachings. Let's Get Bilblical is a very good two parter. Dense with information and the usual sharp prose from our teacher Rabbi Singer. It sits close to Mishneh Torah on my shelf. ❤

I was a Christian, and now a Noahide. I’ll share my experience. The god in the New Testament ain’t the same ONE (blessed be his name) spoken about in the Torah. They are both called the Father, but don’t let that confuse you. They are not the same. The NT “father” requires a bloody perfect human sacrifice for every single tiny sin you ever committed. And “He” provides only one method to ransom you out. The problem is, Christians can’t even have consensus of how that method looks like, so you have the free-grace salvation, lordship salvation, the Roman Catholic institutional sacramental salvation, etc etc. I won’t go into that rabbit hole right now. Secondly, the NT “father” has no true love for this physical world. The NT explicitly said “to love this world is to hate god”. If the whole world won’t believe and go to hell, it doesn’t hurt this god a millimeter. But since he wants to show off his grace and glory, he’d do it anyway. And if you miss this salvation-boat, sorry, then it’s eternal hell punishment, ending up even worst then a Moloch sacrifice. For the victim in the Moloch sacrifice is burnt in fire for moments, and then the victim dies and his suffering ends. But this god in the NT, if you end up in his fire pit, the suffering is eternal. What I have learned from Torah is another Father, one with real kindness, who truly forgives if one returns; who really cares for this created world, and wants us human beings to participate to make it better, this very moment and everyday; whose Torah has such sounded and crystal-clear moral standards -- not like Christianity you have to be filled with the Holy Spirit and then you can do good, but if not, you are hopelessly in sin and probably on the way of losing salvation, so you need divine grace etc etc - no, Torah say you can do it, Torah said a person can absolutely be righteous, just do it. Do you know what a motivation and empowerment that is for a person? What a positive view of personal potential, and the positive outlook to the world? Torah is the light.

Everything you have said is true, EXCEPT God did make a new way even before the temple was destroyed in 70 ad. A renewed covenant of peace. The Jer 31 covenant that would be revealed after 483 years as noted Daniel 9, 10, 12. Just because Rome edited and corrupted the writings of John the Baptist and others doesn't mean it's all false. The truth is hidden within for those who divide the words of Truth from lies. I hope you figure this out.

The authenticity of Moses is based on the public revelation at Sinai: God revealed Himself to the entire nation of Israel, at least three million people, and proclaimed before them the Ten Commandments. The entire Jewish people personally experienced that revelation, each individual in effect becoming a prophet, and each one verifying the experience of the other. With their own eyes they saw, and with their own ears they heard, as the Divine voice spoke to them, and also they heard God saying, "Moses, Moses, go tell them the following ..." They did not receive the occurrence of that event and accept it as some claim or tradition of an individual, but they experienced it themselves. That public revelation, therefore, authenticated the bona fide status of Moses as a prophet of God, and the Divine origin of the instructions he recorded in the Torah. That, and that alone, is the criterion for the belief in, and acceptance of, Moses and his teachings, as God said to him, "I will come unto you in a thick cloud that the people may hear when I speak with you and will also believe in you forever" (Exodus 19:9).

Worse still are all forms of actual idol worship (among the worst of which is atheism), which causes an even greater separation between the person and God. From this error, or rebellion, is born the attitude that appeals to people in their bad ways, or in the denseness of their perception, that they should not have the yoke of obedience to the True God upon them. Regardless of being raised from birth in an idolatrous religion through no fault of their own, many people are personally attracted to this sin so that they can fulfill the base desires of their hearts without feeling guilt or remorse, and be free from fear of God Almighty. Instead, they willfully accept some other authority or power as their substitute god or gods, and say that their god(s) commanded or permitted the lifestyle which they have chosen for themselves - an alternative to what God commanded for them in His Torah - which may be draped in outward refinement, or set loose to the particular desires that they decide to indulge in.

The reality: "The composition of the Torah (or Pentateuch, the first five books of the Bible- Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy) was a process that involved multiple authors over an extended period of time. While Jewish tradition holds that all five books were originally written by Moses sometime in the 2nd millennium BCE, leading scholars have rejected Mosaic authorship since the 17th century." (Wiki composition of the Torah) Moses writing about Moses and calling himself Moses instead of me or I, yeah that's credible. He also wrote about his body being buried in a certain area after he died while hiking on a mountain alone, so apparently Moses was a "ghost writer" and his body buried itself.

Also, tomorrows headline today: Zechariah 14:2, "For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city." As you know, "Israel" is the name of a man (Jacob), see Genesis 32:28. Israel said that two of his 12 sons (Simon and Levi) were "instruments of cruelty" (Genesis 49:5) because they had slaughtered a whole family because their sister had been raped. What Israel said to Simon and Levi applies to the situation today. Israel said, "Ye have troubled me to make me to stink among the inhabitants of the land..." Genesis 34:30. The overreaction and cruelty of the tribe of Simon and Levi today is causing Israel to stink among the nations of the earth.

General Titus refused to spare the life of Christ General Sicarius King Simon Arshakuni Bar Giora Izates Mono Bazus II the Cyrenian, and he fled into the ground through a subterranean passage and took his most faithfull friends, while apparently trying to escape with the help of a confederate disguised as a water-carrier (Mark 4ii: 12-17). The Romans knew not where the Son of Man had fled, but famine found him out, and after three days he arose as from the heaps of the dead from beneath the place where formerly stood the temple, and which had become his temporary tomb. Wrapped in the flaming crimson robe of his Egyptian Pharaoh Hebrew Roalty, he made his sudden resurrection in the midst of the Roman guards. They fled precipitately from his presence. Mark 15:21 Terentius Rufus, who did not believe in ghosts, approached the apparition. The resurrected Son of Man refused to speak except by signs. To all questions and accusations he was dumb. The Gospels also reveal this characteristic attitude of the Son of Man under military arrest. At length the Roman officer compelled him to admit his true identity, and he was taken away to the general's tent called the praetoriujn. Many other supposedly dead Jews arose and appeared in a similar manner.

Judaism's entire theology is predicated on the notion that the nation of Israel was founded on divine roots and the sinaitic revelation which all requires faith to believe. It's as simple as that. It doesn't mean it actually happened that way in history though.

The Torah claims that the Jews’ ancestors were all present at the event on Mount Sinai and heard the voice of God. It is the exact opposite of “faith alone”. It tell you that YOUR OWN ancestors were present at the event and that this will never be forgotten from them. This is why all the Jews transmit the same Torah with the same description about the event. Nobody would ever take a book (not to mention an entire nation) that tell you about your own history/experience which you know and can verify with your parents, relatives, friends (because the Torah claims that ALL were present there meaning all are passing the same testimony) and then find it false. In short words: nobody would ever make a verifiable lie.

*_GayZeus_* of the Synoptic Gospels is a literary character invented by the Romans to promote the recent arrival of the Flavian dynasty to imperial power, creating an archetype of messiah towards which all preexisting Jewish prophecies converged. The aim was (1) to empty Jewish concepts, hijacking the messianic hope and solidifying a controversial archetype of Jewish messiah, (2) to blame the Jews for their own destruction in the war of Jerusalem in 70 and (3) to exalt the Flavian dynasty of emperors. The content of the message propagated by the characters in the narrative portrays an agenda of political accommodation, preservation of the imperial “status quo”, anti-Judaism and military indoctrination: both for Roman soldiers and for colonized civilians. Soldiers are often the recipients of the teachings of the Gospels, which occur both explicitly (as in Luke 3:14, when John the Baptist recommends that soldiers be content with their pay, just as Rome advised those recruited for military service) and implicitly (as in Luke 9:23, when the instruction is given to abandon everything - family, friends, work - and follow the leader, just as the government wanted the soldiers to do). There is also abundant teaching reinforcing the civil obligation to serve soldiers, including obeying them for twice the amount required (Matthew 5:41). The character Jesus always presents himself as the reformer of the Law of Moses (Matthew 5:38, correcting Exodus 21:24 on the principle of “an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth”) and the propagator of various Roman laws (as in Mark 10:12 on marriage and in Matthew 22:21 recommending the payment of taxes). Jesus never taught his disciples to love Jews or their relatives, but he *_did teach them to love Romans (Matt. 5:44) and to turn the other cheek (Matt. 5:39). The Flavian Theory, therefore, not only presents a coherent argument for the literary origins of Jesus, but also highlights the Romans' ability to use religion as a tool of sociopolitical control. *_Some of the most enigmatic passages found in the gospels are more easily understood when seen through the eyes of a general speaking to his legions._* *I had an insipid deplorable two faced Greek woman admit to all of it proudly in these comment boards awhile ago, very sickening.* 🤮🤮🤮

I love Gd and I love Jesus Christ. They are not the same, but are one in purpose. I pray to Gd, and that is HaShem. He is the same One that Jews, Christians and Muslims worship. We cannot put Gd in a box. We cannot say who He will be and who He will not be. What we do know is He is perfect, entirely good, and we are all His children. Why do we suppose that the Torah was the beginning and end? Gd has not stopped talking to His children. He is Gd. He can do whatever He wants. Any religion that says one book or one compilation of writings is the entirety of Gd’s commands and teachings is limiting Gd and is in a self-imposed box. Therefore, if anyone desires to seek more they can find it. If not, they will stay in that box.

Rabbi, I love your thoughtful videos, but in this one, I think you make a logical error: you assume that a national narrative requires evidence. Clearly not true: generations of Americans believed Parson Weems' baloney about Washington and the Cherry Tree. Southerners to this day believe that the Civil War was "Northern Aggression." And don't get me started on what Germans in the 1930s were willing to believe about European and German history. Yet all of those people had the advantage of a free press and libraries to learn the true history, unlike the Israelites. You say that nobody would agree they heard the Voice at Sinai if they hadn't. Fair enough, but you implicitly assume that nobody would believe that their remote ancestors had heard the Voice, if they hadn't heard about it before Deuteronomy was written, if that happened generations later. Really? I'm not as learned as you, but IIRC, in Ketuvim, it is told that the "Book of the Law" was discovered in the Temple hundreds of years after the events described in Torah. I.e., at that time, Deuteronomy (or perhaps all of Torah) was unknown, and then Am Yisroel heard for the first time (or at least, for the first time in detail) that their ancestors had heard the Voice at Sinai. They had no proof, and yet they believed it. Or at least they were willing to go along with a royal and/or priestly decree. Thus, Tanakh itself shows you are wrong that nobody would agree, without further proof, that their ancestors experienced Sinai. We have only Torah itself to prove that the belief was correct, and of course, no book by itself can prove itself. So the narrative did not require independent proof, to become established. And as the modern examples I listed above show, national narratives are very hard to dislodge, once created. In fact, Ketuvim also describes Kings of Israel and Judah stamping out heresies, i.e., competing narratives. So we can well see how our own national narrative could originate and persist without any solid evidence. What Occam's Razor truly instructs us, is to stop there, instead of assuming the additional hypothesis that the encounter at Sinai was real

According to the Torah, belief isn't required. It's not like every person God blessed or spoke to was a Jew. He seems to care about his "rules" quite a bit. A lot of the most blessed characters didn't even believe the "Jew God" existed or was important. But ultimately God "showed them" by working through a Jew that was usually "just the messenger". I know for a fact that he's answering prayers of people of every possible religious belief; so if your God(s,or lack therof) work for you, I recommend you just continue doing what works for you. I wouldn't recommend anything that's clearly foolish such as worshipping evil God(s) I can confirm, there is at least 1, very godlike entity that does exist. God bless Israel

"A nation that had a direct encounter with God" and taking "somebodies word for it" "A nation that had direct encounter with God" Please explain this Rabbi. My understanding is that Prophet Moses was directed by God to lead his people. Prophet Moses was able to communicate with God Directly and through this gift he was able to guide his people. A Singular man, not a nation. This people did not have a direct dialogue with God. They had one direct encounter with God but were not able to make sense of it because they weren't gifted that way. Hence they relied on "somebodies word" being prophet Moses word. I'm not sure how if I understood the somebodies word correctly in the video. What I'm trying to say is that Prophet Moses was the passage to God for this nation. He had the direct encounters and not the nation. So essentially the nation had to follow somebodies word. 2. In the context of seeking truth, which the caller wants, and as you've referenced the Torah a few times, I think it would be insight to explain the authenticity of the Torah as a book of truth. The Torah in context to other religious scriptures. 3. Im battling with terms Jew & Judaism. What did Prophet Moses refer to his people as? What does the Torah ( Word of God) refer to the people of the book as? I know jew and Judaism was adopted later, but I would like to know this truth.

I believe in the book. Esau is the Christ. Jacob fits the profile of the Snake (Morning Star). To strike at the heel also means to admire. Jacob was gripping the heel. Gripping also means protection. Esau serves and protects Jacob. The world focuses on the enmity between Adam and the snake, and between Esau and Jacob. Esau wields his sword in service to Jacob, throws off the yoke of Jacob, becomes a restless wanderer (in the desert) and dwells far from the fertile earth, far above the heavens, in a galaxy far away, and be the Gatekeeper to the Garden of Eden. Adam, the Christ, the Son of G-d, who was without sin, tilled the soil and prepared the promised land, a heavenly home, a new heavens and new earth, the kingdom prepared for you at the foundation of the world, the Garden of Eden. He then settled east of Eden until the day he wields the fiery sword and judges the earth. In recent news, the local cluster of galaxies may be in a massive void in space. Earth is the Abyss. Adam descend into the Abyss and rides the Pale Green horse up from the Abyss as the rider Death, with all of Hades at his heel (admiring and protecting him). That sound like the resurrection.

Just a comment on Occam's Razor. It's a methodological guide, not a rule, & says nothing about likelihood of truth, & says nothing ontologically (about existence, reality, etc). It's advice, that when you're trying to make sense of an uncertain world, & you're formulating a hypothesis, theory, or model of something with the evidence available, don't add fat to it, keep it as simple as it can be... until new evidence requires you to replace or add to your original idea. The simplest theory is not more likely to be *true*, it's just best not to overcomplicate things. Esp because most of the time the overcomplications come from individual human intellectual & emotional biases towards or against certain ideas or approaches. Don't assume things you don't have to. I think the greatest virtue of Occam's razor is to prevent people from injecting unnecessary assumptions, having the effect of keeping people more intellectually honest. The core of intellectual honesty is recognizing the things you don't know, & not acting as if you know or can make true statements about those things you don't know. Atheists & theists alike get this wrong though. People tend to think about things in terms of ontology, about what's actually really real or true. So they project a truth value or guidance onto Occam's razor. They're too eager to get to the reality / truth part, so they skip over the fundamental importance of getting your epistemology & methodology clear & consistent before you even think about reaching conclusions.

Torah is the provenance of all truth IFF it is learned correctly. The problem is the rabbis don't learn Torah correctly. Unfortunately, Torah can also be the original of all falsehood. Look at your world and decide if it looks like how Torah describes how our realities are if we listen to HaShem's voice and do the Mitzvot correctly or if your world looks like how Torah describes the realities of those who don't hear HaShem's voice in Torah and so don't do the Mitzvot correctly. Eleven months into the war, here I am in Tzfat, which, if I were learning like you would be a war zone, yet my world is the Peace of Shabbat every day, just as it has been for years, barukh HaShem. Maybe, just maybe, you should do what I did year ago: Turn to HaShem and ask to be shown the Torah Truth. And, no, you don't have it or Jewish history would be very, very different. PS: I'm not selling anything, I don't have to.

Will messiah do miracles? Moses said in Deuteronomy 18, that God would raise up a prophet like him. So did Moses do miracles? Yes, The sea obeyed him and parted, the rock brought forth water, the curses on The Egyptians, all done by the hand of Moses, *By the Authority of God.* Now will Messiah Be under the consecrated authority of God? Yes, he will be like Moses and God will put his words in him. Messiah is birthed by God, He is the son of God. Can a rabbi be wrong! Yes, the rabbi told the king to ignore Jeremiah and the king threw out the writing of Jeremiah Ignoring his warring and Jerusalem was destroyed and the people put under the yoke of its enemies. You can't trust anyone. Check it out for your selves. There is coming a false christ that will deceive the whole world And many from your own people. Daniel talks about him, The Lord Jesus warned us about him. Jesus said he is coming back on the clouds, ever eye will see him. There will be no mistaking him. The man in Ezekiel is not the messiah Nor is he ascribed this title he is referred to as a prince, so is Daniel's description of the antichrist. There are no errors in the Genealogies in the gospels Jacob (mentioned in Matthew) and Heli (mentioned in Luke) were thus half brothers. When Heli died childless, Jacob married his widow and fathered Joseph, who was biologically the son of Jacob but legally the son of Heli (see Eusebius, Ecclesiastical History 1:6:7)." The context Isaiah chapter 7, talks about the birth of a child, who his mother calls Immanuel, in Isaiah chapter 8, Isaiah calls on Immanuel in a symbolical way, Isaiah chapter 9, Isaiah describes his attributes, all talking about the child, God with us. Should not God with us, be attributed these attributes, is not the messiah the prophetic Counsel of God. There is no mention of Hezekiah, in these chapters. Will Messiah be The Prince of Peace, Lord of Lord, The Lord of Glory created a way out of death into the glorious liberty of The almighty God, found only in him. Isaiah 11 : 10, His *_Resting Place_* will be Glorious, *Resting Place* signify his death and resurrection. Confirming isaiah 53, he made his grave with the wicked and the rich in his death, showing messiah on earth has a end. The assumption that Isaiah is talking about Israel, was adopted in the 10th century, until then it was believed to be talking about the messiah, Also the Jewish notes were revised in the fist century. To think that this is not talking about messiah, is to say the rabbi's before us were wrong. But according to the current jewish teaching, the rabbi's can not be wrong. I'm not saying all christian teachings are correct i'm saying the word of God is true.

The promise is birthed by God, received by faith, by a women who miraculously conceived, producing a human being, containing the fullness of the promise of God. So then is messiah the word of God? The question is clear: "How do I know what truth is, how do I trust religion?" It's a _very_ good question. The questioner also admits: "I've been lied to for forty years." And with that, she basically answers her own question. Not so long ago, I listened to a street preacher talking to a Jew in Jerusalem. The Jew just told what he knew from tenach and the preacher was all the time beating around the bush as his 'truth' (the NT's truth) just could not align with tenach. While listening, it reminded me of a poster that started with the words: "Every person knows deep in his heart what's really important." And that's MY answer to this woman. Don't trust or follow religion. Trust your inner voice. It will tell you if someone's lying or not. How? _If someone is telling you something that doesn't raise any questions for you, then this person tells the truth_ .

"What is truth?" Truth - that which is in accordance with fact or reality, as opposed to a mere concept or imagined idea about something. As far as any religion being the truth, it is true that people believe one religion or another, but that is about as far as truth will take you. Beyond that truth it regresses to just a belief.

Jewish mythology influenced Christian mythology. That doesn’t make Judaism truer just because ancient Jews say so, after all, the first Christians claim to have seen the risen Christ. There is truth in all mythologies. The challenge for humanity is to bring the recorded insight of our ancestors into the 21st century and to throw out the rest.
