Tow Hook / Towing Point Installation on Suzuki Jimny & Number Plate Relocation Mount

Finally installed the rear tow point on the jimny with side exit exhaust. This location of the tow point was only made possible after the stock rear muffler was removed.
The tow bar is used from the Indian Army model Gypsy . Very sturdy with a 10mm plate and neat K section made.
Had to fabricate new plates and drill 3 holes either side in the chassis to mount.
Surprisingly the jimny ladder frame is 2.5” wider than gypsy.
No ground clearance was lost in the process and none of the hardware is visible.
Will be adding emergency lashing hoops and a 7 point trailer light connector also.
Used the stock hook that comes with the Army Spec Gypsy Model , normally rated for 5 tonnes load.

Bro your group has some of the cleanest and the meanest looking practical jimnys, but my only concern is that you've put those big ass wheels and you'll be towing with one of them as you've put that towing hook on it, don't you think that it is way too underpowered to balance all that? Even after a stage one tune the car will be slow af plus that AMT is very sluggish. What do you think?

Agree. Jimny Kerb weight 1205 Kg Gross Vehicle weight 1545 Kg. Payload 340 Kg. Assuming average 70 Kg per person you are left with just 340-280=60 Kg for baggage and accessories. With those massive BF Goodrich KO2 AT tyres and now the tow bar, there's none left for anything else. Probably over utilised too considering suspension and lift kit.

Bro can the jimny chassis take the weight of a motorcycle weighing 250 kg approx (Himalayan/interceptor) on a motorcycle hitch carrier installed on ur setup in this video. Bro why do people use such tyre. I want to replace my highway tyres to AT tyre but I m not finding 195/80 r15 AT tyres. People are suggesting me to get 215/75 r15 but it's too wide for jimny. There is one Yokohama tyre 205/70 r15 but its little low profile. So ride quality will deteriorate. That's why I am not changing tyre. But these people are shamelessly upgrading to such big tyres.
